This video was ok...I loved the one from the Baghdad International Airport yesterday. That turrent must of went 50 feet high after a TOW missile hit it!

Russian tank turrets, at least of the T-55 and T-72 variety, are prone to blow sky-high. Main gun ammunition is stored in the turret. When something, like, say, a TOW missile penetrates, the tank rounds explode and send the turret flying.

I wonder about this...why make such a mess that the people and us will have to clean up?

This could be handled alot cleaner with two small charges. One to disable the breach lock, and another to destroy the engine or mobility without a massive fire.

After such a controlled disabling, then they should be painted white or somthing to signify it as a disabled piece of equiptment.

After all we are going to need to clean all of this mess up soon...
