Give Brit Hume of FNC the award for funniest remark of the war

Posted on 04/06/2003 8:50:29 AM PDT by ODDITHER

On Fox News Sunday, after Tony Snow said that the New York Times refuted the rumor that they were expanding their newspaper to add a daily page for corrections and listing off the number of corrections made this week, he changed the subject to the recent rantings of Baghdad Bob.

He turned to Brit Hume and asked him what he makes of the comments of the Minister of Information and Brit said "I think the guy is getting his copy of the New York Times a day late."

I literally had coffee up my nose, laughing so hard.

Brit is usually so serious, that was unexpected.

I think Brit is the funniest man in reporting. His dead pan humor just slays me...

Yea - I guess there are two Baghdad Bobs. I keep hearing him referred to as Baghdad Bob - or The minister of Disinformation.

Brit is very astute and even when he says nothing, his eyes are saying a lot. When he does speak he puts it down the chute with few words. haha!

Brit's the best, in my view. He is one very smart and classy guy.

I heard him on FNS two Sundays ago and he elegantly ripped into Juan Williams in the last 7 minutes of the show like a raging bull. He would not sit back and listen to weenie leftist lies.

Well, that IS funny, but I don't know if it can replace Shep's kitty-litter box allusion, for me.

What time of day did this happen? I ask because I posted essentially the same joke -- that Baghdad Bob gets his material from the NYT -- at 9:03 Eastern.

That WAS the best quote of the war, so far.

"Do you have a CAT?!?!?

Oh, Brit has a very dry, WICKED sense of humor. That comment is just priceless!
