There is a saying "he who laughs last, laughs longest."

So enjoy your "black humor" we Americans have not begun to laugh.

Some of us in America never bought the story that a leopard can change his spots, and some of us know, never take your eyes off a mad bear.

Americans bigger problem is that too many in elected office have the same mindset as the mad bear.

We can get the "little guys", knocking out the support and the "front organizations" out from under Russia.

If this is true, Putin has shown himself far more duplicitous than I could have imagined. He has made a huge error and effectively stopped what could have been a promising alliance with the west.

However, I have a couple of questions. How did these documents fall into the hands of The Telegraph? Are they authentic, or forgeries?

With so much confusion going on in Baghdad right now, it seems odd that something like this would have been found and taken to a western journalist. It is very mysterious.

And BOEING is sending engineering work to Russia. Seems that some of our leaders don't know the difference between friends and business partners.

IMHO you cannot trust the Russians and we should not be peppering their economy with our aerospace contracts.

I just don't believe any of this. Nothing will come of it. It's just too too....if you know what I mean. Things like this don't shake out that fast or that easily.

All the enemies of the U.S. have had the U.S. helping to build them up.

We've been playing Russion (no pun intended) roelette.

Moscow also provided Saddam with lists of assassins available for "hits" in the West

I'll bet we have a list of assassins available for "hits" in Russia. I think we should perhaps avail ourselves of their services.

Right now, the Russians are our only link to the Space Station. We'll make them pay the price, but this isn't going to destroy relations entirely.

"They want money and power.. "

---

That is precisely the point. By being truly friendly with the US, they could have had both. Yet, they resorted to supporting terrorists and hostile regimes to attack the US. They are treating us, as "THE" enemy, using other countries as "proxies" in their clandestine fight against us.

As I said, I thought Putin was smarter than that, but apparently he was too brainwashed and still hates us.

I think this is very telling, and what it is telling us, that Russia supported terrorist ACTION against the US:

"Moscow also provided Saddam with lists of assassins available for "hits" in the West and details of arms deals to neighbouring countries. The two countries also signed agreements to share intelligence, help each other to "obtain" visas for agents to go to other countries and to exchange information on the activities of Osama bin Laden, the al-Qa'eda leader."

A letter from the Iraqi embassy in Moscow shows that Russia kept Iraq informed about its arms deals with other countries in the Middle East. Correspondence, dated January 27, 2000, informed Baghdad that in 1999 Syria bought rockets from Russia in two separate batches valued at $65 million (£41 million) and $73 million (£46 million). It also says that Egypt bought surface-to-air missiles from Russia and that Kuwait - Saddam's old enemy - wanted to buy Russian arms to the value of $1 billion. The Russians also informed Iraq that China had bought military aircraft from Russia and Israel at the end of 1999.++++

This things was publicised in russian press. Anyone may read.

Iraq was ally of Soviets. Until 1980 it recieved namy of soviet weaponry. After 1980 Iraq was ally of US. US helped Iraq during Iraq-Iran war.

This report screwed. Rumors mixed with alergations, misrepresentations plus some real facts but which accaully meant nothing.
I call it white propaganda.
