Louisville Thank the Troops Rally and Photo: Date: Saturday, April 19th, 2003 Time: 12:00 noon Location: Jefferson County Court House Steps
The event will feature speeches by local media personalties, local and state elected officials and members of (AUSA) Association of the United States Army.
The Louisville Support our Troops Coalition will be holding a "Thank the Troops" rally on Saturday, April 19, 2003. The rally will be held on the steps of the Jefferson County Court House at noon.
The purpose of this rally is to gather citizens from Metro Louisville on the steps of the Jefferson County Court House for a photo that will be posted on local media websites and emailed to service men and women overseas. Family and friends of those service men and women who are deployed are encouraged to attend as well as United States Veterans and local civic groups.
The Louisville Support our Troops Coalition is calling on the public to make signs showing their appreciation of our troops. This week local school children will be making signs supporting our troops for the event on Saturday. Christian Academy (English Station Campus) will be making signs, Teacher, Mrs. Cook (502)244-3225 will be heading up the sign effort at Christian Academy.
The public is encouraged to bring signs, banners and flags.
The event is being sponsored by Louisville Support our Troops Coalition, and Louisville Metro Councilman Doug Hawkins.

So with only about $2,600 dollars to go to meet this quarter's goal, I am going to post the following and hope that those who might read this thread will send a couple bucks FR's way.
