Sarandon=Kiss of Death. No way a for-profit movie company will risk anything on these radioactive actors.

Robbins and Sarandon are to base their film on the bravery of Rick Rescorla, a Cornwall-born war hero, who died in the attacks saving thousands of people.

Rick Rescorla was a hero of DH and myself before 9/11.

We would go to a theatre to see a movie made about him. If the movie was decent we would buy the DVD. If the soundtrack was good, we would buy it.

Putting Sarandon in a movie about Rick guarantees that we will never spend a dime or even watch it free in years to come as the late late movie.

Rick Rescorla was a hero, Sarandon is a skank.

Don't we already have enough major-studio pornography out there without grinding out still more of it? If they make this, it ought to be rated "TD", for "Too Disgusting for ANY audience capable of thought".

"Hey MGM, check Sunday nights rating for Susan. America has had enough of these two Commies"

Not to mention being disinvited to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Sarandon being disinvited to a United Way fundraiser. MGM is either 1) hopelessly out of touch, 2) seriously overconfident, or 3) blatantly defiant. Whatever the case, they need a wake-up call.

NEVER FORGET

...Very quickly after the sudden Sept. 11th death of RICK RESCORLA at Tower 2 the SARANDON's approached the newly widowed SUSAN RESCORLA to purchase her -Later in Life- Love Story with RICK's Lifetime Lifesaving Story included for a new Motion Picture.

...Right after I found out about the sudden Sept. 11th Death of RICK RESCORLA at Tower 2 on our 7th Cavalry's website at...

...I started calling for the country, thru the Net and my Calls into Talk Radio/TV, to ..NEVER FORGET.. that my fellow Battle of IA DRANG Veteran RICK RESCORLA died after the CLINTON Administration had refused 3 Free Extradiction Offers from the Sudan during the 1990's to bring OSAMA bin LADEN to an American Jail for Trial for his Terrorist Acts already committed against US. I have ..NEVER.. stopped doing this.

...T'was All in GOD's Plan when 2 months after the Attacks of Sept. 11th ...I was blessed to be able to go to our 7th Cavalry's Annual Battle of IA DRANG Alumni Conference Dinner in Washington, D.C. on Veterans Day Weekend where I ended up sitting at the table next to Widow SUSAN RESCORLA's, who I had been fighting for, and the table of Lt. Gen. and Mrs. HAL G. MOORE & "WE WERE SOLDIERS" Director RANDALL WALLACE ..with NBC Dateline TV Cameras rolling for their coming TV Story on the RESCORLA's.

...While showing us clips from his forthcoming "WE WERE SOLDIERS" Motion Picture about our IA DRANG Battle RANDALL showed us the now famous TV Interview of RICK RESCORLA predicting his own future death at the hands of Muslim Extremists ..taped in his Tower 2 Office a couple of years before. It sent chills right thru US all.

...Before dawn the next morning we IA DRANG Alumni along with SUSAN RESCORLA, WWS Actor SAM ELLIOTT & RANDALL WALLACE held our own private Ceremony in front of the Vietnam Wall's 3rd Panel that carries the names of our fellow 7th Cavalry Soldiers who were killed in the Valley of Death that was the IA DRANG of 1965 ..with NBC TV Cameras continuing to roll.

...NBC Dateline's RICK & SUSAN RESCORLA Story ran in March 2002 opening up with us at the Vietnam Wall with the Star Spangled Banner being sung as my solemn face suddenly appears and then fades to Lt. Gen. HAL G. MOORE's reading off the names of our IA DRANG Hero Dead Soldiers 36 years after they had heroically died for Freedom in Vietnam.

...Last week I was further blessed to give a 1 1/2 Hour speech about RICK RESCORLA and our 7th Cavalry's experiences in Vietnam as they relate to our 7th Cavalry's now sitting in Bagdhad before a fine NRA Group in Culver City, California... in a restaurant sitting directly across the street from the very MGM Studio that was unbeknownst to us considering making this RICK RESCORLA Motion Picture for the SARANDON's.

...Last Saturday I had the honor of witnessing the Free Vietnamese of Orange County proclaim at a BUSH Victory Rally "WE ARE SOLDIERS" - "WE ARE SOLDIERS" ..in the Fight to bring Freedom around the world.

...Something the SARANDON's & the CLINTON's wish to NEVER see.

Soooo....

...T'was US vs the SARANDON's...

...at the OSCARS =

I understand your viewpoint, but I do think it'd be more effective to voice our displeasure NOW so that it hurts Robbins/Sarandon more than it hurts MGM. I mean, if we're successful in getting mgm to drop consideration for this, that will have a direct and substantial effect on robbins/sarandon pocketbook. I think that will let them know in no uncertain terms that there IS a price to pay for their anti-Americanism. A movie boycott, after the effect, dilutes the financial pain because, after all, robbins/sarandon will have already gotten paid for it!

Here's the text of what i submitted to mgm:

"I heard that MGM is considering casting Robbins/Sarandon in a movie about 9/11??? That has to be a sick joke, right? You couldn't POSSIBLY consider such Anti-American leftists for roles in this country's worst tragedy. Everything they've said and done points to their feelings that America is evil, deserves whatever atrocities are committed against us. I don't know ANYONE who would patronize a movie starring these 2--esp a movie about a historic tragedy that has changed our country forever. If this isn't a sick rumor, and you're serious, please reconsider before you suffer a terrible blight on your reputation and a financial disaster."

I can't be against "voicing displeasure," but my hunch is that we aren't going to have to do squat. Yeah, they were in talks with these two, but that pre-dates the latest unpleasantness.

Seen Drudge today? Susan Sarandon's "ice movie" on CBS came in at last place. CBS viewership was down 40% from the week before. In New York, Sarandon trailed even the WB's "Black Sash."

This woman is getting "Dixie Chicked" by the public. She is radioactive. Nobody is going to plunk down money on her until this goes away... and it may never go away.

I hope you're right. But just in case hollywood has a short memory, I thought I'd throw in my 2cents. It only took 60 sec of my time, and if it helps, then it was 60 sec well spent!

I salute you, Ronnie.

It goes without saying to go forward with this film with the involvement of Robbins and Sarandon would be blasphemy of the highest order.

Let me say furthermore to you and everyone here who is reading this thread Metro Goldwyn Mayer does not produce films anymore. They have not since the 1970's. They merely distribute them.

What this means is a production company has been able to greenlight a film (get the go ahead to start making it) with MGM distributing. Perhaps someone could get information on this company and contact information? I think a few thousand phone calls and letters might help get the message across, don't you?

"Sure, go ahead with this film. And I promise you that not only will every major theater in the country showing that trash be picketed, the film will do less B.O. than Pluto Nash."

...Our 'US at the OSCARS' Story about our Freeper GOD BLESS AMERICA Rally that ran in the Chicago Tribune also ran in the Tampa Tribune Newspaper afterwards.

Quote:

...RONNIE GUYER, 60, said he served in the Army in a Vietnam War battle depicted in the MEL GIBSON Movie "WE WERE SOLDIERS." The war, he said, "is our best defense against future terrorist attacks."

...The Postwar protesters won at least one convert: DANIEL FLORES, 18, who came to see the stars. After listening to the protesters, he stood with them and put a sticker on his shirt.

.."I support the troops, and Hollywood should, too," FLORES said.

UNQUOTE

...T'was only days later that 31 Letters of Complaint to the United Way of Tampa brought its cancelling of SUSAN SARANDON's $20,000 Speaking Engagement at the United Way of Tampa's April Fundraiser.

...Next came the Shut-Out at Cooperstown.

...I wonder what the Score is now at MGM..?
