In conclusion, Kill Whitey! Blame Whitey for everything. Rob Whitey. Dont hire Whitey.

Wait a minute, I had that out of order. Dont Kill Whitey first. That would make it harder to rob Whitey.

First Blame Whitey, then hate Whitey, then rob Whitey, then, and only then, kill Whitey.

He is right. They should consider black coaches.

It's jerks like Jackson that make it HARDER for black coaches to be hired.

If I'm an AD, one thing that would go through my mind is
DO I WANT TO DEAL WITH THIS MF'ER IF I HAVE TO FIRE THE COACH?.

When will we have a native-american coach? The blacks are oppressing the other minority groups by hogging all the affirmative action spots!Let's stop the racist oppression of our red, brown, yellow, gay, lesbian, and transgendered football coaches!

I would think it would be someone more like former Washington Redskins QB Doug Williams, who has done quite a good job since becoming a college coach.

"You shouldn't get these jobs by incest and an inheritance.

Incest? WTF?

OK, as a rabid Penn State fan not old enough to remember the previous head coach (and I'm 47!), I can only sympathize as to the agony of choosing the next head coach but skin color absolutely cannot be a factor. Football is too dang important for affirmative action. Leave that to law and med schools.

Two words: Bobby Williams

Seriously, while the percentage of black coaches is apalling, especially given the number of black players, hiring coaches just because they're black isn't the answer (see above reference).

Incest?

How would Jesse know about the sexual practices of the Shula family?

Jesse shouldn't be bringing up family sex issues when he's paying for a love child.

Meathead!!

Jackson declined to name anyone he considered qualified for the job.

Well if Jesse won't name names,
I'd like to step forward and put in a good word for Penn State's

Larry Johnson
Defensive Line
In his seventh season on the staff is Larry Johnson, who is in his third year coaching the defensive line. He worked solely with the defensive ends and oversaw many of the special teams his initial four years. His efforts with Courtney Brown helped earn Brown consensus All-America honors in 1999, setting three sack and tackle-for-loss records. Brown was the No. 1 selection in the 2000 NFL Draft. Johnson also has coached three first-team All-Big Ten performers, including returnee Jimmy Kennedy. Head coach for 19 years at McDonough High School in Pomfret, Md., Johnson's teams posted a 139-36 mark, capturing state championships in 1983, '85 and '90. In 1992-93, he was head coach at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Va. Johnson was a standout linebacker at Elizabeth City (N.C.) State University, earning NAIA All-America honors. After graduation, he played one season with the NFL's Washington Redskins. His sons, Larry (redshirt senior tailback in the fall) and Tony (junior wide receiver) are members of the squad. A daughter, Teresa, plays on the Penn State softball team.
Perhaps there are others more qualified, but 20 some years as a high school head coach plus seven as an assistant at a major program like Penn State is nothing to sniff at. Might have a tough time prying him away from Happy Valley, though. Once settle in there, people don't normally want to leave.

>>...Jackson's comments came as he traveled to Birmingham for a meeting with black ministers about the Alabama coaching job ...<<

HUH????

He wants a black MINISTER to have the job???

No way! The only play they'd have would be the Hail Mary.

Sure, hire one of Jesse's "friends" like Coach Nolan Richardson (formerly Arkansas coach)so Jesse can get his pick of the cheerleaders, free game passes, and Jesse can hijack another sport in order to get his bank account supplied with more money for the extortionist.

He should be ignored.

Jesse couldn't comment, because, people, including SI don't want to say it, but here it is. He is not a sports fan, he does not follow football, or know much about it. He was infurated when he held a press conferance, after Ray Rhodes was fired by Green Bay, little did he know, that instead of the usual liberal jesse lovers, the media sent sports writers, when they hammered him with questions, and even answered some (he meant to be rhetorical) of his questions, he got angry, refused to answer any more questions, and just made a statement and left. He also decried that the writers "were not looking at the main issue".

This is such a critical issue. The Glass Ceiling that limits African-Americans from acheiving in sports must end now. I am going to make this my life's work.

It's been my life's work for many years. And now look at all I've accomplished. I deserve a Nobel. No doubt. All my work in this field has been way behind the scenes, so you probably don't know about all my accomplishments. But, no maddah; all you need to do is look at the results. In fact, my one besetting foible may be that I have gone a bit overboard -- involving blacks in sports to an excessive degree.

My other accomplishments include keeping Arizona elephant-free.

He doesn't care WHO it is, as long as they are black!
