What They're Finding In Iraq?
Accuracy In Media ^ | May 5, 2003 | William Fielder

Posted on 05/05/2003 3:05:04 PM PDT by walford

According to Barton Gellman, writing in the March 23rd edition of the Washington Post, al Qaeda leaders, long known to covet biological and chemical weapons, have reached at least the threshold of production and may have manufactured some of them. This according to a newly obtained cache of documentary evidence and interrogations recently conducted by the U.S. government. Gellman describes the al Qaeda biochemical weapons program as being more advanced than originally thought, and included the ability to produce their own low-grade anthrax.

Senator Kyle, on Fox & Friends this morning, stated that they had captured some type of mobile lab but, he wasn't going to say anything more than that.

There's a reason the Democrats in Congress aren't making more of a stink over WMDs

"Regardless, the circle is getting smaller and Iraqi efforts in support of international terror are becoming clearer. These operations may have included TWA 800 and the Oklahoma City bombing, as well as the anthrax attack following 9/11."

Hmmmm

I would hope not. Announcing that we had found WMD hidden in the Iraqi desert would set off the world’s biggest terrorist treasure hunt.

As it is we go in, we come out, did we find something? Who knows? Iraqi is a big place. If you don't know where to look it could take forever to find the weapons. Let's not give out any hints to the opposition shall we? Even if it is only where not to look.

IMHO I belive the following:
1. If we find WMD anywhere at anytime in IRAQ it will be disseminated immediately.
2. UBL is dead.
3. Iraqi prisoners of war are NOT talking because they are NOT being tortured.
4. Usually the simplest explanation for any event is true.

Of course this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

4. Usually the simplest explanation for any event is true.

"Appeasers" such as the Klintons, Karter, Kennedy, "French" Kerry, GrrAwfulo, Chrissie Hynde ("Bomb us!"), et al, are in reality traitors that would just as soon see the U.S.A., for all practical purposes, destroyed. Is that simple enough?
Once I came to this conclusion, once I assumed the worst about them, their words and actions ceased to surprise me, and everything suddenly became crystal clear. On one level, I achieved a sense of tranquility, since I was no longer straining, in vain, to try to figure out why they do what they do. I now just consider them targets.

I believe TWA Flight 800 was shot down. I still wonder about sabotage on Columbia. Could have been something that was done, or not done, to the shuttle before it took off. The terrorist moles are everywhere. We probably have enemies within. Just remember our own soldier who is Muslim who threw grenades into fellow soldiers tents, killing his commanding officer, in Iraq...... I always suspect a conspiracy...

There is one thing that the poor Iraqis are finding and that is the graves of their relatives mass murdered and buried in mass graves.

Dozens of corpses unearthed in Najaf (Where Are The War Protestors NOW!?)
Gulf News ^ | 5 May, 2003

Iraqis clawed or shovelled through a mass grave yesterday to uncover dozens of corpses, some with blindfolds and hands tied, who appeared to have been executed during a 1991 Shiite uprising.

At least 20 bodies, including a few women, were unearthed from the site about 20 km north of Najaf. Many had plastic-coated identity cards in their rotting clothes. Combs, coins and watches lay among them, along with bullet casings.

who appeared to have been executed during a 1991 Shiite uprising.

This is the new left-wing talking point. The caption under every 'newly discovered mass-grave' picture includes a reference to 1991.

The press chooses to ignore the estimated million or so deaths from the Iran-Iraq war, the thousands of Kurds gassed in the 80s by Saddam, the victims of the increasingly violent and unstable regime of the 90s - the murdered Iraqi pols, athletes, dissenters, relatives, innocents. The press even chooses to ignore the evidence of recently murdered and hastily buried Iraqis - and the American POWs outside and in the basement of the Saddam Baathist hospital where PVC Lynch was recently tortured.

Instead, the mainstream press is spinning the 1991 Gulf War, our successful campaign to free Kuwait and prevent Saddam's incursion into neighboring nations, into the cause of all the newly discovered atrocities - implying that both the war and Pres. GHW Bush failed and are responsible for Saddam's Baathist Socialist Party's brutal history of mass-murder and oppression of the Iraqi civilians.

"Clymers" or "Wankers" doesn't quite describe the depravity of this press and their political partners.

The US has to take some responsibility for the bloodshed after Desert storm. We chose to subordinate our policy to the UN, which left Saddam in power. [see this explored fully in this essay: http://mason.gmu.edu/~walford/IraqNKorea.htm ]

Bush I encouraged the Iraqis to rise up against Saddam. Then, fearing it would turn out like the Ayatollah's Iran, he stood by and watched as the slaughter ensued. We were also doing business w/Saddam in the 80's as the lesser of 2 evils. Hopefully we have learned from this and will:

1. Never engage in warfare that leaves the aggressor in power.
2. Never back one dictator in a conflict against another.

It amazes me how much information is divulged on potential vulnerabilities both at home and abroad. Let us all be responsible for not hand feeding information to terrorists. They obviously not only walk amongst us, but are trained by us on our aircraft, education systems and work force. One of the top level Al Qaeda leaders fled the country after doing his computer technology degree in Florida.

There was much evidence at the time to suggest the Oklahoma bombing was terrorist activity, but it seemed such as extravagant story at the time and Timothy provided a good enough story to lead us off the scent. It has been mentioned they are going to reopen the case because Timothy meet people from Middle Eastern decent at Dave's bar four days prior. They think two of them were on the planes. A brown vehicle left the scene of the crime with three men from Middle Eastern decent.

Have a look at the strategies they used through the war. Soldiers dressed in civilian clothes. Around 7000 people entered the country after the first Gulf War. Do you think any of them could possibly think to use that strategy?

It is very important that as many WMD made by States our gathered to avoid terrorist's from potentially getting hold of them. In particular Russian weapons laying around. People like Victor Boutte, the Russian illegal arms trader had a fleet of 60 aircraft, 300 in his network and supplied arms to the Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, guerilla's in the Philippine's etc. To see the reach of his network around the globe was frightful. State made WMD are still believed to be more effective than terrorist made. There is a great program in place from a private company that purchases the WMD from the Soviet Union, dismantles them and uses them to power 10% of the power here in the US. It addresses the monetary incentive, makes it an economically feasible business plan and removes weapons available in the world that could potentially get in the wrong hands. These are the solutions that need to be found. QUICKLY.

For those of you who still believe these terrorist threats are just like the random threats that we have seen over the course of history... think again. Although saddened by these old attacks, I was not concerned with the far reaching affect of them. Here are some things to consider about this new form of Jihad terrorism. The difference between past terrorism and terrorism now, is several things:

1. The goal is not to shock people into being aware of the particular cause such as the strategies the IRA used to get the British out, or Algeria to get the French out, but to eliminate the West and Christianity. Being raised in an Islamic culture that makes people aspire to give up there life for the cause and receive martyrdom means they have had a lifetime to be brainwashed. 60% of the population is under 25, easily influenced, have no direction and only martyrdom as an answer to an overwhelming time of their life. The world has never had such a powerful, motivated, charismatic, terrorist leader with financing to put together such an extensive network. This will not end until the West falls and we will never know where we are going to be hit next.

The potential for the guerilla's around the world to unite is highly likely as is occurring now. It appears the world has cancer with cells scattered throughout, in the past it was unable to satellite together. Now with globalization and the internet the verdict is not only predictable, but inevitable. I wonder how long a doctor would give a patient at this stage of the disease? With the breakdown of Afghanistan the Al Qaeda are out sourcing training to different organizations around the world Indonesia, Philippine's, Morroco, Venezuala... etc, etc, etc.

Some of measures I believe we need to take:

1. We all need to remember that these are extreme fundamentalists and not the majority of Islamic people. The media are pitting countries against each other for ratings. The burning of the American flag is again, a minority of the people. If you get on sites like Hindu.com you get another side of the story than the story that you get here from liberal media who want to be proved "right" on not going to war. For those who do burn the flags etc consider it just like living next to a neighbor who constantly lets their dog go potty in your yard, you hate it, but it doesn't mean you are going to go kill them. You can live in the same street peacefully with a mutual dislike. We need to consolidate after the Iraq war and work on improving our foreign policy. We need to get more people on side again after having to play bad cop because he UN were not doing their job due to the corruption that riddles the organization. We will be spread too thin otherwise. So please be conscious when voicing any anti-Islam sentiment on the net, so we do not head directly into a far larger clash of civilizations that Bin Laden was aspiring for. We are all responsible for foreign diplomacy, not just our government. Islam is not the enemy, the terrorist organizations are. I have lived amongst Islamic people and they are as peaceful as any of us.

2. I know this is one that will not be popular, but I believe since we are under attack on our soil, we need to impose an immediate, yet temporary, closed door policy (not let more people in the country for those not familiar with that term). Let us give the Middle Eastern community some incentive to turn over terrorist's. If their family cannot come in until all of the faces on the deck of cards in Senator Pat Roberts top pocket are found, they are going to have far more incentive to report terrorist activity. Lets rattle the fabric of their community so the terrorists have to question who they can trust now. An open door policy at a time like this, is like asking our soldiers to not take precautions when approaching civilians in Iraq, "oops that one was a soldier". We are at war and it is insane that we are not only letting the enemy into the country, but training them. I do realize they are being screened heavier now, but it is far too difficult to tell a good law abiding citizen from a terrorist. Sometimes the only way you find out is after they have been good law abiding citizens getting a college education or, how sweet... training to be a pilot. This is when the Constitution will be used as a weapon against us. I wonder what the next attack will be for the seriousness of the situation to be accessed to warrant that decision. It is completely normal for countries to go in and out of open and closed door policies if you review practice's of humane countries such as Australia. That in no way is an extreme measure, but one that is going to be necessary.

Lets all fight hard for this country using smart strategies and wise words. If you want to vent maybe consider the strategy Abraham Lincoln used... write it all down and then throw it away. It is not for me to tell anyone what to do, but please be conscious that your words are far reaching. They do encourage others to have anti-Islamic sentiment and with the evolution of transport and technology it really does impact us all, as 9/11 so sadly demonstrated. The war is on terror and tyranny, not Islam.
