I don't quite understand why only ABC announced that the WH would not use the carrier pics. Considering the Peter Jennings character, I have to ask if any other media outlet made this assertion. If not, why not I wonder. This is the first I've heard about the WH agreeing to McAwful's demands.

Considering the expense to the American taxpayer and use of American men and women as 'extras' for this media stunt, President George W. Bush should pledge that his USS Lincoln landing not appear in any 2004 Presidential Campaign Commercials and Videos.

Somebody needs to tell Mr. Global Crossing Poster Boy that those American men and women were not 'extras'! The members of the military onstage -- all thrilled to be greeting their Commander in Chief! -- all played a starring role in the production for which our President was there to honor them!

Character does matter. And, those in the military know that this President will make sure their votes count and aren't thrown out....

One of my biggest benefits of working at home was being able to watch all the Fox News coverage of that historic event.
