Powder..patch..ball FIRE!

''It's a lousy parking thing and it turns into 11 shots being fired off in a house full of people and kids. That scares me.''

There were three children in an adjoining room and other residents nearby when the shots were fired.

Police Chief Inspector David M. Howells said city detectives had told him that the investigation had been completed and that charges were not going to be filed unless new information surfaces.

Howells said investigators found no evidence that the homeowners tried to sic the dogs on the constables, or that the constables were reckless or not justified in shooting the dogs.

These so called public servants need to be held accountable for this outrage.. Fired 11 shots in a house full of people to kill three dogs that weren't doing anything??!!?!

Geez... What about using pepper spray? I'm not an animal rights whacko, but is seems like these dogs were having an understandable reaction to strangers in the house. Why turn it into a gunfight? Seems like a lot of cops are pretty gung-ho these days. I guess it's kind of understandable, considering what they have to go through, but still....

How do you know the dogs weren't doing anything? The article says that the owner didn't 'sic' the dogs on the cops but it doesn't say that the dogs didn't attack the cops.
