IF what the defense is claiming is true, I don't think Scott needed to be on drugs to do it. He had plenty of anger and resentment to fuel him. Very possible. Almost every story I've seen on Peterson said he was usually calm and collected, rarely lost his temper, which is why I suggested maybe he was on drugs.
But there's also the factor of someone who never releases emotion, then all of a sudden it comes out in a huge fit of rage. Either way, given the nature of the crime Peterson can't claim it was a crime of passion should he decide to plea, it's death penalty or life all the way.

>>You are SCOW!!! Just don't lobby for any official SCOW office...it is a sore point with some of the members. <<
It's honor enough just to be included in such a revered group! :)

There was a broadcast report circulating Friday Laci Peterson's may have fallen victim to a satanic cult. Sounds like Geragos dreaming!

Thanks for that link, maggie. Discovery in all their lawsuits may just be what they don't want. Too bad the DC cops didn't initiate phone taps.
Thanks, as always, for the pings and links RB. The Modbee makes it sound as if nobody has received the autopsy reports. Hmmmm. Who ya gonna believe? Rivera is certainly credible what with solving the Capone vault caper. :)

""The defense source conceded Scott could have inflicted the unspeakable damage on his wife's body, but questioned where and how."
MG is hiding I think, after seeing the autopsy

thanks for the ping rb........found a little tid-bit last night on this jack the ripper cult type killing perposed by the defense. It can be determined by science if the victom was alive or dead when body parts were removed, if limbs fell off do to trama or from natural causes.
Perimortem Trauma
Five characteristics:
- Sharp edges (fragment edges & fracture lines
- Hinging - bone bent away from blow
- Formation of fracture lines
- Shape of broken ends - angled with jagged surfaces
- Sometimes staining from hematoma
Postmortem Trauma:
Though not related to death, it must be distinguished
Usually related to recovery & transport.
Postmortem Trauma Characteristics:
. Breaks rarely exhibit radiating fracture lines
. Tends to snap - no green stick or hinge fractures
. Long bones tend to break at right angles to long axis
. Color of break is different from other bone surfaces

How can anyone take this guy seriously?
He thinks he is such a stud that he can't remain true to one women. He promised the last one he married that she was the one for him and he would be forever true to her.
Geraldo's Nuptials
By Lloyd Grove
Washington Post Mazel tov to 59-year-old Fox News star Geraldo Rivera -- who will wed his 28-year-old girlfriend, television producer Erica Levy, at New York's historic Central Synagogue on Aug. 10, The Post's Christine Haughney reports. "You can't be my age and getting married and not be an optimist," Rivera, the son of a Jewish mother and Puerto Rican father, told us yesterday. He noted that he had been to the altar four times previously and had four children to show for it. "I don't know, maybe there will be one more with Erica," he said.

KGO-TV anchor Pete Wilson (said)
...even though I'm not part of the horde that blames an amorphous entity called "the media" for many of the evils in society.
Oh, I think Free Republic, as part of "the horde", has done an excellent job of documenting very specific examples of out and out lies printed by the media that have caused harm and promoted evil. So easy to toss off words like "horde" and "amorphous" to dismiss an accusation.

Fox is showing the Coast Guard in the bay, searching for evidence of Laci and Connor.

I'm thinking that Geragos is getting his ideas about this murder from the Jeffrey McDonald case!

Is there something in the water in the Modesto area?
Lead, pesticides, heavy metals...intelligent Modestan's drink bottled water ;-)
Or strange crop circles just outside of town?
Not unless you count the craters left by the exploding meth labs!
LOL...In the Chamber of Commerce brochure is the welcoming of network uplink trucks listed as an industry?
No, but being at the center of infamous crimes is a LONG Modesto tradition (at least back to the 1978 mutilation of a 15 year old girl by Larry Singleton). Must be the smog...

Hi Howlin...for us away from tvs...please keep us updated...thanks, PaMom

They are searching the bay for ANYTHING they can find; looks like they are specifically looking for something.
Fox has turned to other news now, but they were showing it live.

thanks RB, gonna mark the calendar for that one.
Just saw Dan Abrams on MSNBC, the defense saying Laci's death looks like a "satanic slaying." Claiming the police have NO blood evidence (the NE this week is still sticking by their story of her blood and vomit in the mop). I am really disgusted with this. Yeah right, a satanic cult just happened to conveniently kill Laci, while Scot tell's his girlfriend he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Worked out great for him didn't it? (major sarcasm here)
I bet Laci's family is beside themselves with this crap the defense is throwing out.
