ELECTION TODAY - PLEASE VOTE (Jackson, Eaton, Lenawaee Counties)
Secretary of STate

Please vote for Mickey Mortimer. He's a solid conservative and great on 2nd Amendment issues. He was a two term state rep before he lost in a tough race for state senate last November.
This district is about 55% GOP, but it is a special election. With an abysmal turnout, the dems can steal one if we don't vote and they do.
It covers about 1/2 of Jackson County, Lenawee County's Cambridge Township, and Eaton Rapids, Hamlin Township, and Brookfield Township, which are in Eaton County.
Good luck to Mortimer.

(Why do liberals believe every ammendment is personal but the 2nd?)
To: Dan from Michigan
It could be a real tough race since the former rep's son is running -- as a Democrat.

(That's my theory and I'm sticking to it! At least for the present . . .)

That scares the hell outta me. Sympathy vote.
At least Mortimer is a top tier candidate, and he represented MOST of the district before. I think he'll win, but it will probably be close.
Three things in our favor
Mortimer has name recognition. He's a former two term rep.
Mortimer was a substitute teacher the last year and 1/2. That helps counter Kratz who is a teacher.
Kratz doesn't live in the district(works there). He lives in Chelsea(between Ann Arbor and Jackson). Mortimer does live there.

ABSENT-T BABY!

Mortimer was a substitute teacher the last year and 1/2.
How can a political candidate have earned a living as a substitute teacher? Was he doing other jobs too?
To: Theodore R.
He was a two term state rep from Jackson County, and I believe the former Jackson County Clerk before that. He has one term left.
He ran for State Senate in 2002 and lost to the dem state rep also running(Calhoun County to the west leans dem and has more people)
