I am getting really steamed here at George Voinovich. With Taft running the state of Ohio into the 18th Century, we can ill-afford to not have a tax cut... let alone have it defeated by the RINO. At least DeWine (who is also a RINO) is voting the correct way. Time to freep George Voinovich! Don't have the numbers handy or e-mail address. C'mon Buckeye Freepers! Let's get a hold of this guy and get him straightened out!

I haven't studied the different bills but I have heard that there are some tax *increases* in there. So I don't know how much are the total *net* tax cuts, but to some extent the pain is just being allocated differently, as in a shell game.

Will someone explain how the stimulus in this package is supposed to work? How will this affect job creation? Don't get me wrong here because I think lower taxes are great but the last round of cuts didn't seem to do much. Why is this different?

The group also agreed to kill one particularly controversial offset, the elimination of $32 billion in tax breaks for overseas workers.I wonder if this would be enough to bring Sen.Breaux(D-LA)on board? He fought tooth and nail to change this. What do you think?

"The White House is seeking to win over some moderate Democrats to make up for Republicans they may lose."
Too bad those midwestern Senators aren't nearly as conservative as the people they represent.
