Hollywood Furious with Deck of Weasels
The Left Coast Report, via email | 5-20-03 | James Hirsen

Posted on 05/21/2003 8:37:53 AM PDT by Paul Atreides

NewsMax is already hearing that several Hollywood stars are just furious with our latest "Deck of Weasels" -- our playing and information cards that expose the anti Americanism of the political world and Hollywood.

One mega star's producer told us late last week that "Everyone is talking about it, and a lot of people are worried."

Worried about what?

Well, the crazed liberals that make up Tinseltown's elite thought the "Bush war" against Iraq was truly going to be a disaster -- and that they would be vindicated.

Sorry, Charlie, it didn't work out that way, did it?

Now the Hollywood libs were hoping that their anti American fervor would evaporate into recent memory. That was until the Deck of Weasels hit late last week.

The 55 playing cards not only depict the angry Hollywood establishment -- with the likes of Ed Asner, George Clooney, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and others -- but reveals their most outrageous quotes.

Some are thinking that certain big box office stars may soon be going the way of the Dixie Chicks.

Well, let's help them! Check out NewsMax's new Deck of Weasels... get them and pass them around to your friends and family. They are fun and informative.

It would be interseting to see the box office receipts of these duds.

If it is your contention that these actors are digging an early grave, that is highly unlikely. These are people with nothing to lose and much to gain by their notoriety. Yes, eventually their status will fade, but not because their actions caused them to be shunned by society, it will be because society grew bored with them or simply forgot (no longer cared) who they were. These guys want to work, so they draw attention to themselves. The more noise they make, the more opportunity to make more money.

Looking at madonna, her album debuted at no.1 after much was said and done to draw attention to herself. Now, 3 weeks later, the thrill is gone and the album is at no. 15.

Good point. None of them are the box office draws that they long to be. Though I confess, I did like Bob Roberts and Arlington Road.

The cards are funny, but no big producers in Hollywood are paying any attention to Newsmax.

I was thinking of going into the card making bidness 'til I read your reply.

"Every one of your posts exposes you as either a disrupter or a liberal wuss, or both."
Name calling isn't very nice - didn't your mommy teach you any better. I think it's really funny that you make that accusation, just because you disagree with me - or what?
Developing a deck of cards to "out" those you feel are not behaving properly isn't very creative, and will serve no usefull purpose. To copy the idea from the Iraqi deck of cards implies that these individuals are "enemies" of the US and should be hunted down & brought to justice. The marketplace will take care of rewarding/punishing those that take a stand on an issue. I just happen to think the card idea to be silly - I'm often told I'm just grouchy, never a wuss.
Do you still want to bid on the Tri-Borough, or would you prefer the Williamsburg Bridge?

Golly, I sure hope that Hollyweirdos are not thinking of (gasp) inhibitng "free
speech"...........as, for example, speech on Weasel Cards that preserves for posterity,
the twisted anti-America Hollywarped crowd's America-bashing.

I make no apology for any name calling as I refuse to give you the respect you feel you deserve. You sound like a lib, or at the least, a RINO. Both have been equally effective at screwing up this country. I would guess that you don't mind the Vichy Chicks, Hollywood, or France either.

I neither seek nor desire your respect, I'm very conservative on fiscal matters (deficit hawk), not that conservative on most social issues - more of a libertarian than I'll ever be liberal.
I don't listen to C&W, so I could really care less about the DCs, I have a son that works in Hollywood - so I can't hate all of hollywood (but then again I have little interest in what any "star" has to say, be they conservative or liberal - their ideas won't be influencing my thoughts, and I've never been to France, use any French products that I'm aware of & can't usually stand things French before/after the Operation Iraqi Freedom - they have their own idea of what patriotism is & it does't usually match with the interests of the US - a DeGaulle thing I think.
You can attack the DCs, hollywood & france all you like - it probably won't make a bit of difference in how they view the world - I doubt you'd be changing your beliefs based on anything they say/do either.

Fox, en ‘baraja de cobardes’

Look at this link ---From Mexican newspapers (SUN and El Diario) May 16:

la empresa newsmax.com puso a la venta la “baraja de los cobardes o agachones”, que incluye entre otros al presidente mexicano Vicente Fox, al francés Jacques Chirac y al ruso Vladimir Putin.

It's hilarious but it seems newsmax is making quite a stir ---and international --with their card deck.

Believe it or not ---the first I heard or saw of the cards was on the front pages of the Mexican newspapers they sell around here. They had the card of Vicente Fox ---on the front page. I think they've actually done more than serve their purpose ---I imagine if it was front page news in Mexico, Hollywood is steaming mad also.

El Diario de Chihuahua May 16, 2003

http://www.eldiariodechihuahua.com.mx/hsemana/160503/index.html

Incluyen a Fox en "baraja de cobardes"

http://www.eldiariodechihuahua.com.mx/hsemana/160503/edicion/articulo/mundo/notas/nota1.html

It might seem like a funny joke --but some aren't laughing.

That may be true. But to my death, I will always voice my disdain and dislike for non-conservatives (especially on social issues)for anyone in any line of work. They are the enemy. It is that simple.
