This year, the state and pro-bear groups also agreed to jointly explore a contraceptive program for wild bears.Maybe they should talk the DYFS into wearing contraceptives or better yet slipping a condom onto the bears !

Saw you posting on this before. Don't remember if it was the same article or new info.

Minutes later, three Sparta police officers arrived and drew their shotguns. Three shots later, the bear was dead. What were they shooting - birdshot?

How about sending these bears around to the local abortion clinic? Wouldn't that be the politically correct thing to do?

Sure I do. Bears aren't easy to kill, shotgun or 30-30.

What were they shooting - birdshot?A bear can take repeated fatal hits with 12 guage slugs and still kill you before dying. Really.

I've had so many NBEs I can't count. (Near Bear experiences)
I've stepped out of my vehicle and had a bear under 10 feet from me.
I've had them come up to the screen door to my kitchen, sniffing away after we've put our "bear garbage" away.
I only take out our weekly garbage an hour or two before the guys come to get it.
Several years ago before I was taught by the black bears up here in Sussex county NJ, we bought a "bear proof" rubbermaid can. The bears drug it up the hill about 300 years and gave up when they couldn't get at the lobster shells inside.
This round is a one shot, one kill Bear round, but I think I'm not allowed to have it in Jersey. Not sure, but I have them and only intend on using it for bears anyway.
I get bears on my deck, my yard, all over the place. My understanding is that this idiot fed this bear and then lets a kid out there. Bear thought "ooh, look at that, lunch and it's still alive, woot"
The problem with bears is that they are always on the move, you see them, you get about 30 seconds for a picture and thereafter it's over. Here's one.
