"Too bad we won the Revolutionary War. If we'd lost we'd now have a real royal court."
While I believe this statement to be sarcasm ... and having no quotes, cannot be relegated to Quinn, I do find the statement stunning and a good observation of how the elite liberals really feel.

it'a all Hitlery's fault ... she planned on being the "hostess with the mostess" - trying to upstage Quinn LOL! I had forgotten all about that! Now I remember that the big house in Georgetown was supposed to become the happening place for the political soirees Hillary planned to have to affix herself at the head of the Dems. in Washington.
But you're right, who'd want to socialize with her if they didn't HAVE to?

"Since there's no social life at the White House, and no social life in the city, Washington as we know it is over," moaned Quinn, liberal wife of former Washington Post Executive Editor Ben Bradlee. "Washington's
social scene has come to a screeching halt."
My social life is just fine. I must not have gotten the memo.

Has anyone ever been INSIDE one of the Clintons' houses? I've only read about Hillary's holding fundraisers at the DC one and that was held in tents on the lawn, I believe. Have the Clintons contributed to the social scene for the partying Washington libs or do they just attend......or do they ever go together?

"After a president like Clinton, who thrived on meeting people and going out to different things, the comparison is a shock for everyone," Nancy Bagley, editor of Washington Life, a magazine that chronicles the city's parties told the Times. "Washington is a social town." Islamofascists are killing Americans and these people are upset there are not more parties in town. And they wonder why Bush is going win in a landslide? Sheesh. These are serious times and call for serious people - like George W. Bush. I actually heard Greta van Susteran say something very similar to this, but that was before 911 and I think she grew up, unlike these morons.
BTW, don't get me wrong, I love to party, but I think Bush has more on his plate now.

I assume you mean Laura Bush (or has his mother been non-socializing, as well?) You assume corretly, FRiend. But I would bet that Barbara would share GW's distaste for socializing with the DC ingrates as well. :O)

I have a suspicion that some of the "guests" didn't appreciate x42's actions toward their spouses. Just a guess!

"Clintons used tents on the lawn creating a circus effect" Like the clown he is! Atleast our tax dollars aren't being WASTED on parties for whores and sluts! Again I am SO THANKFUL for President Bush and his lovely first lady, Laura!
