SURVEY CONDUCTED BY THE IRAQI INSTITUTION FOR DEMOCRACY IN BAGHDAD SHOWED THAT MOST IRAQIS SUPPORT CONTINUED AMERICAN PRESENCE UNTIL DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS ARE HELD IN IRAQ. (AL-SHARQ AL-AWSAT, LONDON 5/28/03)
TOPICS: Extended News; Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: army; democracy; election; iraq; iraqifreedom; marines; navy; poll; stabilizationforce; support; survey; usaf
This is from MEMRI's news ticker, translated from Arab paper in London. That's all it says. (It was in caps, I just didn't rewrite it)
The question again arises, where are Reuters, CNN, etc.
I guess the news that Iraqis want us there is not something they are interested in reporting.
I tried to search Google News and nothing came up.

Expect more interviews of liberal politicos launching on Bush for his occupation of Iraq. And so it goes...

Don't tell Amnesty International and the UN, they won't believe it.

"Any of you conservatives know exactly how this news bit came about? "
It was translated by memri.org from this Arabic newspaper:
AL-SHARQ AL-AWSAT, LONDON 5/28/03
Get one of your Arab friends to read it and translate it for you.

"The majority of Iraqis want us out as soon as the security situation is stabilized but there is a growing independence movement in Iraq against the American occupation. "
And where did you get this information from? DU or the Egyptian papers?
To: FairOpinion
I won't believe it until Dan Rather, Peter Jennings or Tom Brokaw reports it.../sarcasm
