Could be hugh. These guys are no dumbies. I wonder if they've plasted anyone lately?
Every time I direct someone to FR, I have to explain in advance that he will see references to showers, hugh and series news stories, dumbies, etc. These things crack me up when I read them, but I wonder how many newbies are wondering if we're some kind of elite club with code language only "members" understand. (Now that I think of it, I believe there was a thread devoted to this subject quite a while ago).
This isn't a flame, Rintense. Just some rambling thoughts. I love all the funny stuff that goes on here! I wonder if there should be a permanent link to all of the "inside" jokes we run across here all the time.

The incredible part is now Linda Vestser says 'series'--on air-- on FOX News like we do!!
The home viewers without a computer must be completely befuddled.

Aren't you sick of it already? I find it to be infantile. How many times can 'vey', 'hugh', 'series', etc. be funny? At this point, these phrases are placeholders where ideally, actual wit would be.

Well, I hope you didn't spill the beans to the newbies about AYBABTU. Because that's what really separates the elites from the illits. Can't read your answer, I'm in the shower, now.

we're some kind of elite club with code language only "members" understand. You mean you DIDN'T get your FR Mystery Decoder Ring? Hmmm....maybe you're still on probation or TPTB found something icky in your background check.

'These things crack me up when I read them, but I wonder how many newbies are wondering if we're some kind of elite club with code language only "members" understand'I'm sure a lot of them think that. I suspect that's where the left's sudden, paranoid obsession with VRWC keywords came from.
Newbies ask all the time what this stuff means. Somebody usually 'splains it to them. I'd rather we kept them as inside jokes as much as possible...I really love the effect some of FR poster's cryptic remarks have on the wingnuts.

What's the dope on "showers"? I missed that one.
