The ties worn by each leader convey meaning. Bush wore the power red tie - identifying himself as the Alpha male among the bunch, Chirac and Blair chose blue ties to signify trust, and the Japanese PM selected yellow to symbolize warmth and happiness. This is no accident. Bush alternates between blue and red depending on the message he intends to convey at an appearance or in the content of a speech. Politicians have been doing this for years yet few notice.

Nice pictures, JP. I like that our President is wearing our flag. The rest seem to be wearing something all alike.

Someone should've told the organizers that our president is George Bush, not
George Clinton!

Everyone with a lapel is wearing a lapel pin except Blair. Of those wearing a lapel pin, they all look the same except for W's, which is a US flag. What pin are the rest wearing?

Hu, Lula, Annan - Who invited these clowns? What is this, the G80 meeting?
I like the "Janus" pose with W and JC but I thought "Good" was supposed to look right and "Evil" was supposed to look left?
BTW, where does Koizumi buy his hair?

I really like the guy, but I think he shops at the Kerry Hairy Store. They have branches in Tokyo....nah, i can't go there.

Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien also has on a red tie. But I don't consider
him an alpha male. Maybe his is trying to fake everyone out. What he really needs
is a psychedelic tie-dyed red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and black tie. Then we'd
know just where he stands.

No one stands out like George W. Bush I must disagree. The nose of Swiss Confederation President Pascal Couchepin stands out quite prominently.
