President Bush vs. The G-d of Israel
Women In Green - By eMail ^ | Sunday June 8 2003 | Ruth and Nadia Matar

Posted on 06/08/2003 4:07:35 AM PDT by Brian Allen

Charles Krauthammer, a famous national syndicated columnist, pointed out in a recent article that President Bush, at Sharm-el-Sheikh, put the prestige of the United States presidency on the line for the sake of Arab-Israeli peace.

As usual, he got nothing in return from the Arabs.

What Krauthammer failed to point out, however, is that by the Bush Administration supporting and pressuring Israel to accept the Road Map, President Bush is defying the Will of the G-d of Israel.

In the Book of Joel (Joel 4:2) the Bible speaks very harshly about those who "divided up My land." When President Bush calls for dividing up the Promised Land into an Arab and a Jewish State, he is defying what is clearly set forth in the Old Testament.

He is setting himself up as someone who is in opposition to the Will of the G-d of Israel. He thereby exposes those who live in the United States to the punishment that is certain to follow.

"I will bless those who bless you and him who curses you, I will curse?" (Genesis: 12:3)

Apparently, President Bush is willing to submit to the pressures of Saudi Arabia. The Saudis use their great oil wealth to pressure the U.S. against tiny Israel, without themselves abandoning their hatred of Israel and the Jewish People.

Because the United States now has a large oil supply available since its conquest of Iraq, one would think that it would be less submissive to Saudi dictates.

Whatever the reason for cowering to Saudi Arabia, President Bush, the U.S. State Department and the Saudis would be wise to avoid the certain punishments that are to follow the disobeying of the wishes of the G-d of Israel, who is the L-rd of the Universe.

}We must remember that Israel is a secular state, not a theocracy. Just because they bear the name "Israel" does not mean this is the "Israel" God is refering to in those passages.

Well stated.

"scripture not to be interpreted"

Excuse me ... then how do you explain the scripture which says, "rightly dividing the Word of GOD". If we are commanded to rightly divide the Word then we must have to interpret it correctly.

Don't you think??

What, Diddly, you don't believe in Bible Code? Geez, it's there for all to see. Bush is the Antichrist! His push for a mideast peace proves it!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Scripture is intended to be believed and to be obeyed, not to be "interpreted!"

I hope upon reflection you'll realize how silly this statement is, you can't believe and obey what isn't properly understood.

1. Try reading the black parts on the page and ignoring the white -- that'll help and;

2. Get a guide and mentor -- it's dangerous to go it alone in matters spiritual.

Blessings -- Brian

The population of the Roman Empire cannot be compared to the population of the earth today. There is no way that Rome produced the amount of food in one year that this country does in a year.

No I am talking about this nation its blessings and how it is that from this nation all others have receive its bounty most usually without a spear or shot ever being fired or some nation taken control of.

The descendants of Isaac and Jacob were to be given the promised land. Ishmael was not to receive it, he was to be a wild man. God did honor Ishmael. He promised that he would be the father of 12 rulers and a great nation, and he'd be fruitful. BUT in his sovereignty, the Lord established His covenant with Isaac (a miracle sent by God), who was the child of promise. The title to the promised land of Israel passed from Abraham to Isaac, and then to Jacob. Ishmael was the child of Abraham's attempt to fullfil God's promise through his own efforts.

"Behold, you are with child, and you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, Beacause the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man, And every man's hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." (Genesis 16:8-12)

That scripture is a very true prophecy.

That works for me. When then are those descendents? Jacob had 12 sons, but only the offspring of 3 of them were a looooooooooooooooooooooong time later called Jews. How about the offspring of the other 9 sons? Does the land belong to them too?

You just can't make up your mind, you first say the Bible doesn't need interpreting, just 'believed and obeyed' and then you say one needs a mentor. Presumably to help interpret it.

My mentor tells me presumtion preceeds piss-poor performance and is the mother of all screw-ups.

Maigret was, for a time, my favorite show.

And then there was Prisoner.
