The article's writer thinks the judge was giving a clue as to how he will react to the coming motion for a change of venue: not too sympathetically.
And the judge mentions that "even" counsel Mark Geragos has appeared on talk shows.
Coming ever closer to that day when Geragos whines for a change of venue b/c of "all the overweening publicity, Your Honor", and the judge replies, "much of which was your own doing, Mr. Geragos...motion denied."
Just a guess.
