What an animal. I could kill him with my bare hands and not feel an ounce of remorse.

I could kill him with my bare hands and not feel an ounce of remorse. I think I could too.
When I knew they had him trapped in that house, I hoped so much he would try to make a break for it and be gunned down.
But now we must go through the pain of a trial, when there is no doubt whatsoever that he did it, and watch some filthy defense attorney sing his praises.
At least it may help that there were many witnesses.

I cannot say whether this apparent prior crime is a fact and consequently do not have any details. I deeply regret the loss of life of yet another officer.
Without knowing all the details of the stop, if the suspect was a known gang member or had prior violence against police officers the information in most cases would have been dispatched to the officer for his safety.

Camacho, who is in his 30sA lot of people think of gang members as teenagers ----it's amazing how these hispanic gang members are often well into their 30s and even 50s. Many have never been employed and can never hold down a job.

I have been sick to my stomach all day and night. Knowing many young police officers because of my son-in-law, I feel a kinship. All I can think about is his young family and their pain.
They will be in my prayers for a long time.

When I was a deputy I treated
every single human encounter as a potential felon , armed, dangerous and remembered that the hands were the primary threat. (yeah even the ex-wife :o) That was the first "routine" thing taught, learned , and remembered that got me to retirement.
Wonder where this troops FTO was ?
Stay Safe !!

So that's what a routine traffic stop is. And this is why police officers often are critized for "overreacting". Every stop they make has the possiblity of ending this way.

Good thing this wasn't an officer shooting someones dog, this thread would be 4 pages long by now with the cop bashers.
Prayers for the officers family from a disabled officer.

I would think traffic stops involving obvious gangbangers are tense moments.
I've also heard highway cops claim to fear stopping military looking whites in SUVs or 4 wheelers with "Patriot" style stickers because they fear that they may well be armed well and know how to use their tools...sort of like the North Hollywood Suicide by Cop Bank Robber types.
...in any event...I'd be itchy.

Every stop they make has the possiblity of ending this way. It certainly does. If what has been told is accurate, this officer never even got that close to the suspect's car before the gun was fired at him.

Oceanside is an hour north. It's the last community on the line of cities and towns stretching from San Diego to the vast Camp Pendlton Marine Base.

Now he'll be sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, and be a big hero in the joint, because a jury won't give him the death penalty for killing a cop!Unfortunately, I think you are right.
