A KANGAROO with a snout like a trumpet roamed the Australian outback half a million years ago, say palaeontologists who found remains of the creature, writes Paul Ham. The animal, yet to be named, used its snout to sound the alarm when danger approached.
Scientists at the Western Australian museum in Perth say the kangaroo, found two weeks ago in a cave on Western Australias Nullarbor plain, also had a horn-like protrusion, probably made from cartilage.
It is believed to have been a cousin of the 12ft procoptodon, the largest kangaroo ever found.
This was the age of Australias megafauna, when wombats grew to 5ft long, about three times their size today.
Dr John Long, leader of the research team, said: We knew very little about the kangaroos that once lived on the Nullarbor and now . . . we have recovered the remains of an adult horned kangaroo. It has bony ledges forming a horn that stick out above the eye to protect the face against the hard salt bush.
The expedition also found two new specimens of the marsupial lion thylacoleo carnifex.

One of which was later spotted at the signing of her new book, "Lying History".

Ever seen a platypus? God has a lot more than a sense of humor...fyi.
Or a bed-wetting, hand-wringing, whining crybaby liberal, for that matter? He really has a sense ofhumor to allow those creatures to live and breed.

Pre-historic Australian Megafauna wiped out by the arrival of Man bump!

Or a bed-wetting, hand-wringing, whining crybaby liberal, for that matter? At the risk of being burned at the stake as a Manichean, those are the products of SATAN.
