Hillary's book, goin' down. (vanity)
uh, Walmart? | 06-22-03 | 4mycountry

Posted on 06/22/2003 2:01:06 PM PDT by 4mycountry

Hello, FReepers!

I was doing some after-church shopping at Wal-Mart when I noticed that there was a book stand containing Hillary's book, Living History (baaaarrrrrrfff).

It was down to $20.00. I wondered if you had seen any of these books in your area and what the price was. I hope Hillary sees it. Maybe it'll tell her that she's not worth anything.

Best Regards, 4mycountry

As much as I hate to say this, failing the bar is not unusual, even for intelligent people. However, several things surprise me about this. First is that she even admitted it. Second, although we can't conclude that she is unintelligent b/c she failed her bar, it certainly doesn't encourage us to believe she is the "smartest woman in the world." IOW, she's fallible like the rest of us, an idea which she has always tried to discourage. Either that, or she didn't put her widely touted discipline to work and study. Maybe she thought she would ace it because of her intelligence. Who knows?

You are quite right, however we ARE talking about the "smartest woman in the world" here!

$15 bucks at Costco, a small stack with no apparent action (I watched for a bit) and this was before HP5 showed up. One older lady wandered by, looked down and said to herself, "Won't they ever go away?"

T.S. AT COSTCO WITH THE "MAN ON THE STREET (Woman In The Store) REPORT"!!!

(You didn't happen to bump into Greg Packer there, didya?)

I LIVE at Costco (bunking up nights on the lumpy leather couches) and highly recommend the almond & chocolate-coated ice cream bar. <|:)~

That memo about Greg Packer is hilarious! Do you know of Jayson Blair made use of Greg Packer much?

"That memo about Greg Packer is hilarious!"

It IS! I especially liked the comparisons of Packer to the Simpsons' Comic Book Store Guy.

"Do you know of Jayson Blair made use of Greg Packer much?"

Knowing Blair, he probably made up a source named "Craig Parker". <|:)~

Two days ago when I checked, it was $19.87 at my local Wal-Mart - $18.88 for the tape version. No one was looking at them.

I asked a Wal-Mart associate (black lady) who was working the area if she would read it.

She gave me a drop-dead look and said woluldn't be caught dead reading it. :)

I used to go the the Calabasis Mine Shaft. Would listen to country cowboy music and drink beer. Loved the place. Used to have a hitching post in the front and if you came on horse you had priority parking in the front row.
Long ber, small stage and wonderful music.
Heard it is now a condo??????
