My Fourth? Picketing my Dem. senators office!
Self | 6/25/03 | Richard Brengman

Posted on 06/25/2003 3:42:01 PM PDT by Richard-SIA

I have the misfortune, and opportunity, to have Harry Reid as one of my senators.

Misfortune because he truly DOES NOT represent me more than 2% of the time.

Opportunity, because he maintains an office only a few miles away.

This morning I learned that he is allowing the liberal ***'****'s of his party to "filibuster" yet another of Pres. Bush's judicail nominees. This time they are out to block the confirmation of Bill Pryor.

My respnse was to call Harry Reid's office and tell them that if the "filibuster" blocking Bush's appointments is still in place on the fourth I will spend that day picketing his Carson City office!

I will call the media, I may be alone, but I WILL be there. It would be juicy if he tried to prevent me exercising my first amendment rights on the Fourth of July!

In past years on the Fourth I have organized rallies in support of our RKBA at the state capitol, and I participated in the road opening at Jarbidge. It has become my personal tradition to celebrate freedom with some form of political action on the Fourth.

Seeing how the LIBERAL LOSERS refuse to allow an honest vote on Bush's federal appointments I can only imageine what stunts they will pull in response to any SCOTUS opening!

It is time they are stopped, I encourage anyone else with strong conservative convictions to also be politically active this Fourth of July.

If you are in the Carson City area let me know, I will save a cold drink for you if you visit me at Sierra Harry's office on the Fourth.

Pryor is from my state! Thanks for sticking up for him. Reid has been so obnoxious since the Estrada battle started. Thank you for bringing light to this. Reid only won his last election by about 500 votes...

Hi Vote! I made my calls today.....Sen. Graham and Sen. Nelson of Fla. And, thanks to your posting the links, I emailed Sen. Biden and Sen. Feinstein. I was sooooo happy to see your posts encouraging ACTION. Freepers actions may just bring about the up or down vote by the full Senate. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I have free long distance on my cell phone so I just spent the good bit of an hour or two encouraging Republicans and mostly slamming (sublty) Democrats. I even called Senator Sheets himself.

some Dems are so far left that I took the opportunity to slam them on other things. But the point is that all Dems AND Repubs need to be freeped.

Freepers, rather than waiting to see what happens with Estrada, we need to take the lead. That means presuring Senators, special interest groups, media organizations, etc. This thread is meant to be an ongoing effort to get this man confirmed. For too many years liberals have had their way on the courts. Now, President Bush is in a position to move the courts to the right. The election of '02 showed that the country is with the President. I think it's time to let Daschle, Hillary, and Pelosi know this is Bush country. Are you with me! Let's FREEP these people.
