APPEALING: U.S. Attorney Ray Gruender and Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. are among finalists for two openings expected on the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, sources say. Limbaugh has been on the court for nearly 11 years. He will finish his two-year term as chief justice on Monday. At that point, Ronnie White, who is next in seniority, takes the spot. Gruender and Limbaugh are lined up for interviews with federal authorities beginning Monday. Limbaugh declined comment. Gruender could not be reached. Limbaugh's father is Senior U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh. The speculation has House Speaker Catherine Hanaway, R-Warson Woods, succeeding Gruender if he is appointed to the federal panel.

Funny part, my parents are republicans, but more or less kind of on the liberal side, though they vote straight republican and donate money. My uncle is a dem but thankfully, to lazy to vote. I'm considered the right wing extremist in the family, right down to the socially conservative side, who says kids are always more liberal then there parents?
