[history]
SANTIAGO, Chile (Reuters) --Chilean scientists were baffled on Tuesday by a huge, gelatinous sea creature found washed up on the southern Pacific coast and were seeking international help identifying the mystery specimen.
The dead creature was mistaken for a beached whale when first reported about a week ago, but experts who went to see it said the 40-foot-long (12-meter) mass of decomposing lumpy grey flesh apparently was an invertebrate.

Did Teddy Kennedy go swimming again?Might be..we know where Rosie O'Donnell is so that rules her out.
Can't overlook the possibility of it being Jerrold Nadler" though.

How many different smells can a dead sea creature have? You would be suprised. There is one place I fish that some of the others there leave pieces of fish on the shore. Before I see the mess, I can tell what is there. Sometimes it's bluefish racks, other times it will be bunker(menhaden) heads, and each has a distinctive reek. Now, rotten squid and clams take reek to a whole new level. ;-)

"Now, rotten squid and clams take reek to a whole new level. ;-)" I've no idea if that is true but, "Rotten Squid and the Clams" is definitely a good name for a rock band!
