So far only one furniture store has refused to remove it.

Oh, that furniture store in Sugar Land. Thanks, now the rest of us know to not shop there.

Actually, this guy doesn't come close to the record for dumb moves with a gun. A few years ago, this guy woke up in the middle of the night and fired his .22 revolver at what he thought was an intruder. He hit the target, his penis. The only comment I remember the guy making was that he was fortunate that he didn't shoot with his .45 auto. (I've always thought the guy could have been more imaginative...)

Flyer, the one I'm talking about is in the Fountians Center, Hwy 59 and Kirkwood. I believe that is Stafford.

Experts said that the first thing people should do when they hear a gunshot is to get out of the line of fire.

OK... I'm writing that down... Step 1, get out of the shooter's butt. (I suppose that this has a new urgency in post-Lawrence Texas!)

... get out of the line of fire.

My closest experience was waiting for a subway train. An old lady said she had a gun, rummaging around in her purse in
response to an old, blind singing panhandler being harassed by an old drunk.

Nothing came of it, but I remember going through my options, including dropping below the platform on to the tracks,
trying to gauge when the next train was coming.

WHOA! My old stomping ground! I always went to Memorial City instead of the crowded, more expensive Town & Country.

Was in there last week with the wife; Glock and all. They call it concealed carry for a reason!!

Implementation of SB-501 is going to make things interesting! The cops that I have talked to down at the courthouse think it will never happen. Why it scares them that a private citizen reporting for jury duty is carrying makes no sense.

Fastest hemorrhoidectomy

A few inches either way and he would be a candidate for an addadictomy.

I talked to two, HUMORLESS sheriff deputies at the FT Bend Court House last week who were not amused that I though we should start following the new law that day rather than wait until Sept 1. I truly think I would have had a BIG hassle until Judge Walter McMeans, and County Judge Hebert walked in and greeted me by name.

Why are the scared of us? We are the ones that will try to protect the police if we see them overwhelmed and waiting for backup. We will fight for them, why can't they fight a non-violent fight for us?

Why are they scared?

I believe I've seen this mentioned before, and I'm curious. It appears that, if the owner has a permit, then they have a right to carry a concealed gun -- unless a property owner (such a s restaurant, or lunch counter) posts a sign saying "No guns allowed" -- which, property rights being what they are, trumps the right to bring a gun to the lunch counter.

Believe it or not, in Texas, if you wish to ban handguns from your business, you must have the appropriate state sanctioned sign posted, which must include the relevant state code number.

In this case, it is state code 30.06
