In just 3 days (July 9th) the people of Iran are planning massive demonstrations events and strikes.

On this date, 4 years ago, the regime brutally attacked peaceful student demonstrators while in their dorms. The result was the loss of life and liberty of hundreds of students, many of which are still unaccounted for.

Once again, the regime has been threatening a major crackdown on the protesters. A major confrontation is just days away.

Iran is a country ready for a regime change. If you follow this thread you will witness, I believe, the transformation of a country. This daily thread provides a central place where those interested in the events in Iran can find the best news and commentary.

Another piece of News--through the Unity of Iranian diaspora across the world Persian Satellite TV took in $36,000 to take out a full page ad in the Washington Post regarding the demonstrations inside of Iran and in Washington D.C. on July 9th.

They are 12 hours ahead of us so their 9th begins at 12 noon PST.

I will be reporting all the news from the NITV (National Iranian TV station)and reporting all the news we hear as it happend through the night.

Glad to hear about a successful demonstration of support for the Iranian protesters. I can only hope more non Iranian Americans will join the other demonstrations in the next few days. The image of Iranians and Americans standing shoulder to shoulder in support of the Iranian freedom fighters will provide Iranians inside of Iran with tremendous moral support. They are going to need all the support they can get.

In Sunday evening, The hard liners arrested the Director of NewsPaper " Asia" , Mr.bagheri and Editor in Chief Mr.Jamshidi in Tehran.
He was accused with a funny charge, That he printed a picture of an Iranian Opposition leader who recently arrested in France.
