Wilson also said that the office of Vice President Dick Cheney asked the CIA if Niger had sold uranium to Iraq. Wilson said his negative answer was given months before Bush announced in his State of the Union Address that Saddam Hussein sought uranium from Africa.

I was watching Hannity and Colmes when they interviewed Cap Weinberger earlier this week.

Cap said that it was not the VP who sent Wilson to investigate the uranium story.

I wonder if Marc Ash is the former FR poster known as ASH?

BTW, great work, WM!

I wish that FR's server was able to store this data.

Last year, I had some interesting data links re the forest fires in Oregon, and how some of the stratgies of enviral groups that set up the fires.

Amazing how that data which had been bragging rights disappeared from the various enviral group's home sites.

Amen to your comments below. This creepy mess would have never started unraveling if not for Free Republic and Freeper of the Year, William Mckinley.

Just goes to show that no weapon formed against President Bush will prosper.

His enemies sat in wait for what they thought were an opportune time to cause problems for Bush while out of the country. They were exposed as frauds.

Thank God for FreeRepublic. I think I'll up my monthly and send in extra Friday.

Ritter was probably a spook for $oddomite, but he ain't no spook for our side.

He flunked his lie detector test to join the CIA. Shortly after that he openly crossed over to the dark side.

I've read this thread and the mea culpa from Mr. Thompson but I'll be damned if I can read deeper than Mr. Thompson being set up. Maybe someone else on here can help me to understand. At any rate, I applaud you.

He was probably seeking to get into the CIA on the behalf of another country in the first place. They had probably directed him to do so, probably already knew of his weaknesses. Had he been accepted, he would still be playing the role of "All-American Boy," trying to work ever higher up the ladder just as Hanssen did. Since he didn't get accepted, there was no longer any need to continue to pretend to be the All-American and he became soundly associated with the left fringe groups. He was blackmailable as well, which was sufficient to prevent him from ever bucking his handlers even were he so inclined. His utility as an agent within the US Government at an end, he was still useful for propaganda and they held onto him and Iraq cultivated him.

The Soviets used to find out the weaknesses of people they sought to recruit. Iraq learned the same tricks. Heck, even the Clinton's learned these tricks. Ever notice how those who toe the party lines, whether societ, Baathist, or the Clinton's, turn out to have blackmailable weaknesses? It keep speople from leaving the plantation, at least until they get so well tamed that it no longer matters.

If I recall correctly, aren't Pitt and Ritter also associated with a former UN diplomat from Great Britain who has also been toeing the line for Iraq? I wonder if that figure had anything to do with some of the BS getting thrown about on the subject over there?

Veterans for Peace are, um, special veterans.

Yeah, the kind who only went in to give themselves the illusion of credibility on matters of war. And the kind who uh, got booted for behavioral problems and then got angry.

Not unlike Ritter trying to get into the CIA.
