Heroin addicts line up in New Hampshire's free drug clinics It might be free but it won't be funded with State funds i.e. tax dollars! Junkies exist now and you pay for their care - under libertarians they would still exist but not cost you a dime so what's your problem? we wouldn't execute them like you might if you were king?

Please cease to ping or write to me since you apparently have a problem being civil.

Pretend to be an R (or D) long enough to grab their votes. Particularly if the Libertarian in Republican clothing actually votes like a Republican...something many Republicans can't even manage to do.
Yeah...that would be tragic.

I'm surprised the usual gun-grabbing communitarians have not shown up on this thread yet.I'm surprised you haven't moved to New Hampshire yet.
Scram. Good riddence.

Hie thee to New Hampshire. Create your pro-dope, pro-sodomy, pro-porn, anti-family Nirvana--your stinking sewer on a hill.
And take dead corpse with you.
To: Kevin Curry
Create your pro-dope, pro-sodomy, pro-porn, anti-family Nirvana--your stinking sewer on a hill.Do you regard the United States as pro-blasphemy and pro-idolatry?
Those things are not only legal, they're Constitutional rights. And I don't mean like abortion or buggery. They actually are Constitutional rights, right there in the text.

It is not the 4500 people or even 45000 people who will align themselves as Libertarian but in the tradition of NH the bulk of the voters will make the right decision based on the issues without regard for party affiliation. It wasn't long ago the Governor Steve Merrill was considered libertarian when he brought several Libertarians into state government. He would still be governor today if he wanted the job.
I think many voters, if a choice to vote Libertarian and win elections was possible, could vote Libertarian and change the course of government. The real thing is though, NH is essentially a Libertarian state in that we enjoy liberties expressly and without comment in our laws. The one thing a Libertarian government could do is confirm those liberties and possibly alter the states highest court appointees. In my opinion the state of NH doesn't waste much in the way of state expenditures except for welfare possibly. The question would be, would Libertarians cut that too?

Does every Libertarian think they speak for everyone else in their Me-ocracy??

"Every man, and every body of men on earth, possesses the right of self-government. They receive it with their being from the hand of nature. Individuals exercise it by their single will; collections of men by that of their majority; for the law of the majority is the natural law of every society of men." --Thomas Jefferson

You're suffering from the delusion that Republicans are still conservatives. They hopped off that boat a few years ago. It ain't over 'till it's over. There is evidence that you can work through the RLC to swing the GOP back to the Right hand side of the political spectrum.

Party platforms are the issue. I feel that most never meet everyones ideals. Its the good that draws each to a platform. I for one believe in Libertarians values as well as Republicans. If New Hampshire can become a resolve for the cause for Libertarians then I might have to look into it. State Gov where made for this. As our society becomes more tech involved home state will be an issue.
Let us not be resolved because there are true convictions but having convictions.
To: steplock
Great idea. Call me when they want to do this in the south, or perhaps AZ or NM.
To: Baseballguy
I feel that most never meet everyones ideals. Agreed. They never will either. That is why the Founders wrote in the protections for our Basic Rights. All we need to do is get our government to respect those limitations again.
It'll be like taming a raging Brahma bull with a licorice whip, but that does not mean that it is impossible.

I'm surprised you haven't moved to New Hampshire yet. Scram. Good riddence. And where, pray tell, do you live? That's one phnomenom I've noticed about you gun-grabers. None of y'all fly your state flags on your home pages. Why is that?

Apparently so. If you choose to be the self-appointed spokesman for others, then we shouldn't be surprised when someone else comes along and thinks they can speak for you, as is exhibited in #77.
To: A.J.Armitage
They'll never be happy until they dictate everyone's behavior to their liking. But then they scream when the Democrats try to do that, too. They also will not learn that people are perfectly welcome to join private groups pushing for certain societal aims, changing minds and hearts about social behaviors. I am pro-life (and although I'm not a member, there is a group called "Libertarians for Life"), I don't do drugs nor do I believe in doing them (but the WOD does not reduce drug use, but merely gives the government an excuse to disregard the 4th amendment--just like Prohibition was crucial to the rise of organized crime, but didn't stop people from drinking), I am heterosexual (but frankly don't care what anyone does in their own bedroom). The point is they simply don't trust people with self-governance.
FWIW, I actually prefer the term "classical liberal" because it more accurately describes my beliefs, since I'm not a capital "L" Libertarian, but the small "l" variety.
