I think I misread your post #64. Didn't have my morning coffee yet, and didn't realize you were joking. Sorry for "speaking for you". Quick tip, if you want to have some fun, ask some of the people you are debating whether they belive in gun registration or not, and you might get a better idea of why they are so repulsed by the FSP.

I'm not arguing your point but from what I have noticed is that some of the usual suspects who show up on every libertarian thread to mock and jeer are social conservatives that do not believe in freedom or self government. They want a theocracy to enforce their views on everyone else. While I might agree with social conservatives in general I recognize that not everyone else does and that today we live in a much less pious society than once existed. The difference is that under liberty government has few functions - these people want government to enforce their personal world view (for the general welfare of course). Plainly put they hate the idea of people being free to make decisions for themselves therefore these jesters have proven they are not really conservatives at all.

This group, if herding political cats is possible at all, will last about a year. The only such movements that have any staying power are religious based.

Heroin addicts line up in New Hampshire's free drug clinics to exercise their inalienable rights to an early death, slavery to vice, and the pursuit of unneeded suffering.

Thereby handily removing themselves from the gene pool, since libertarians don't have free drug clinics. For those, you have to go to Minnesota.

From his webiste, it would look like exceedingly FEW, if any, of Bradleys positions on issues are even remotely "libertarian" in philosophy.

You continue to try and stretch the truth to get the "liberal" label to fit, but that only makes you a liar.

Porcupines?

The porcupine is the emblem/mascot of the Free State project, and for their eventual political arm likely to emerge in whichever state is chosen for their efforts. Porcupine= FSPer as donkey=Democrat or elephant=Republican.

...who'd welcome any influx of folks who support abortion, support normalizing homosexuality, etc.

Ohh.... so you are one of those hhmmmm...

Hang out on a few more of the libertarian threads before making such blanket statements.

Two points. Nothing in the US Constitution says ANYTHING at all about reproductive Rights. Therefore, Roe V. Wade must be over turned on Constitutional grounds and the issue handed back to the States. With a little prodding, any honest libertarian has already figured this out, or can be lead to the conclusion in about ten minutes time. As for homosexuals, what you do in you bedroom is none of the governments business. Although freedom of association would dictate that if you are an employer, you should not be forced to hire those you would rather not associate with. Neither should complete strangers be paying for each others medical care.

Chew on that for a while....

Every L/libertarian that I personally know is a veteran, married, church-going 2A supporter. All are more conservative than most freepers. They don't want to run other people's lives, however. Your description of Libertarians could also fit some Republicans.

r9 what's your plan for preserving liberty in the U.S. and how far advanced is it? If your plan is further along and working better than the FSP (which the governor of NH recently *joined*) I'd like to hear about it!
