Her employer asked her to go to his room. He got caught because she screamed loud enough to attract the attention of other hotel guests who called security

If Kobe didn't wait til the DNA evidence nailed him to admit the adultery, I would have leaned more towards his innocence. My guess is that he wanted to see if they had enough DNA to make a match first, before he would admit that he had sexual contact with her, then now all of a sudden, he is a remorseful adulterer. Isn't that convenient now after the DNA is back?

I try to give everyone a nickname and when I first saw Kobe I declared him lowbeam. When I see him I think vacancy.
What a mess this is gonna be. I would think someone in his shoes would be bright enough to never allow this to happen.

Numerous FR threads and stories. It's not like she picked him up in a nightclub. She was WORKING! The fact that hotel security had to go to the room is bad enough.

"Here's a post right here"

"sounds like you convicted him prior to hearing one piece of evidence."

You are a fraud, defending the pro-Kobe bias by attacking me without any evidence. No reasonable person could reach that conclusion from anything I said. Explain it, or go away coward.

Kobe is quite young also. Too young these days to be married -- much less to be a young, handsome, rich celebrity athlete.

It's tiresome to hear those who have just heard Kobe Bryant admit to lying and having sex with a woman not his wife, turn around and attack the woman.

The wife is standing right by him. Funny how a $100 million basketball contract and $30 million in endorsement contracts has a way of doing that.

She's playing it smart. If he's acquitted, she will still be with him enjoying his money. If he's found guilty, it will be real easy to get a quickie divorce and clean out his bank account while he's in the clinker.

Dude, it's been pretty well established that she had already clocked out, and the "ruckus and call to security" was a bogus story. Let's see what the facts REALLY are before we string him to a tree, oaky?

Whoa, Elfman2, easy buddy, time to self medicate.

I was simply applying the principle of "transference". I bet if you do an internet search in google even you could learn something about it.

I was just repeating your argument back to you as it sounded like you were transfering your own hostilities to me. Given the size of your overreaction I think I shot and scored. FreedomSurge 1 Elfman2 0.

Okay...I think you're peering over the edge a bit...abusive savages? I assume Kobe's innocent, but it has absolutely nothing to do with race, or some stereotype of who fits some category of men as "abusive savages".

The NBA culture of players and NBA wives are back in the news...

Guess Kobe's wife will do their pool-boy soon to get even.

"It's tiresome to hear those who have just heard Kobe Bryant admit to lying and having sex with a woman not his wife, turn around and attack the woman."

Should someone be given 20 years to life for lying to their spouse? I think many on this forum believe yes. These people are known as compasionate conservatives.

Is it OK to doubt your accuser until I have heard compelling evidence against Kobe that he raped her? Not evidence that they had sex, but that he willfully raped her.

Another question, should Kobe allowed a defence? After all he has been accused. Given that men are evil and abusive. Black men might be savages and no woman has ever lied, overreacted or been manipulative should there be a trial or should he just be sent to jail?

When I read your first post in this thread, I was ready to write an angry response. However, you have made some points which sound reasonable.

Would you agree that sex and rape are two different things?

Rape is not about sex, it's about violence. The real definition of rape involves the rage, anger and aggression of the rapist, who themselves may have been violently abused in childhood. And no, I'm not offering up an excuse for convicted rapists.

A rapist takes out violent frustration against their victim and the only resemblance to sex is the act.

If Kobe is guilty of rape, then he committed a violent assault against her. It will be up to a jury to decide after viewing medical evidence from her initial medical exam, hearing her story, hearing his story and any other evidence both the defense and prosecution presents.

Until then, I'm sad and at a loss. I have one child who is a huge Kobe fan. My teary-eyed child said just yesterday "The news is saying Kobe might have hurt some girl! I don't believe it! Kobe wouldn't hurt anyone! He couldn't have!"

What am I supposed to say if Kobe did?
