Here is where they got that photo. Click the link in the posting to see it without the useless logo. The press has been reporting that she was on the 2002 cheerleading team, but I don't know how they figured out which of the tall blonds is the right one.
Thanks for posting the link. If hotel security had to go to the room why didn't the girl scream out to free herself? Or was she already gone by then?
Are you saying that women who are raped are at fault? If so, please explain how an 82 year old (African American) grandmother I knew lured in her stranger (also African American) rapist in through her locked and then broken kitchen window and then encouraged her rapist to beat her in the head with a gun, knock out a few of her teeth during his assault all in the middle of the night?
Maybe she was lonesome for company, or wait, maybe she was after his money? Oops, she was asleep when her rapist broke in. She had never met her rapist prior to his unexpected arrival.
Rape is not about sex, it's about rage and violence against a victim perceived to be weak. Rape is not about racial discrimination. Grow up.
Where do woman's studies graduates go after university? They become lawyers, legislators, judges, supreme court judges.
No doubt. You were caught in #40 praising Kobi's side of the story while attacking his opposition because they had no evidence. That's "clearly understandable". Now you're throwing gibberish at me for pointing it out. I've been through enough interrelations with you. Feel free to take the last word, and then don't talk to me again.
So anyone who believes Kobe to be guilt is automatically a racist? A good way to start an argument, I guess, but a very poor choice of words if you want anyone to take you seriously. You should rethink the use of gross generalizations.
No woman who is raped is at fault. However, was the guy who stopped but not soon enough after the girl said no during intercourse in California guilty of rape. I think not, but California told him to spend 20 years to life in jail.
Was the drunken girl who went into the guy's dorm room, lay down with him and regretted her actions a couple of days later raped. I don't think so, but I would guess alot of Freepers would think so.
Does race play a part in rape? I agree with you, no. Does race play a part in who is charged with and who is convicted of rape? I would disagree with you and say yes.
Grow up? No, you grow up.
Reexamine the phrase, "Those who" used in my post. "Those who" lacks specific referential indexing as my linguist friends used to say. It is the opposite of a generalization as the statement following it could refer to one person, many people or even no one at all.
No, YOU don't talk to me again.
Thank you for the compliment. I hope you feel this way after you read my other response to you. Frankly though, discussing rape is not my idea of fun.
"True but if the definition she or the DA uses for rape comes out of a woman's studies text or its equivalent..."
This is something you have said in at least one other response. Have you ever read a "woman's studies text"? I have not so I ask in all sincerity. I also did not enroll in a woman's study course in college.
In which women's studies text is rape defined as anything but a violent assault against a victim?
Where in the USA has there been a law enacted using text from a "woman's studies text" which legally re-defines rape as anything less than a violent assault against a victim?
Are you referring to "date rape?" Do you define rape only as an act committed by a stranger?
If a victim knows the assailant's name because they are neighbors, customers, classmates, friends of friends or on a first date, does that give the assailant a free pass to violently assault those acquaintances? What about on a second, third or fourth date? Is a violent assault acceptable then?
What if the assailant sees their victim at a swimming pool dressed in a swim suit? Because the victim is not wearing a lot of clothes, is this a sign that the victim enticed the assailant?
Where do you come up with these things?
I have a book "Polite Sounding Phrases Which P*ss People Off".
My only point was that if you want Bryant to be given the benefit of the doubt until the evidence is in; then, to be logically consistant, you have to do the same with the woman. On the other hand, if you want to call her a psychotic slut, you can't get all indignant when others call Bryant a vicious rapist. They have as much evidence as you do. None.
