Is there any chance these USSC people were under any pressure to do this - in order to undermine fly-over country. I mean ... this law does affect that area.

The newsmax story isn't telling the entire story: the problem with the Kansas sex in restroom case is that the law had seperate punishments for the same crime based on what genders were involved. If it was man on woman sex it could be pled down to a lesser charge. Man on man sex couldn't. It doesn't mean that you can't have anti-public sex laws.

Oh please. All they need do is rewrite a statute or two. If they're too incompetent to figure out how to legitimately ban public sexual activities, then they need only lift the wording from statutes in the 37 states which repealed their sodomy laws before Lawrence.

Actually, that is not the problem.

The SCOTUS struck down sodomy laws period.

That means you can have sodomy all you want in public restrooms, you can't get charged.

Kansas kept the statutes according to its Constitutional right. It is too bad the SCOTUS felt states have no rights.

Though you could charge "indecent exposure" or something probably that wouldn't get much in the way of punishment.

Since people are allowed to defecate in private in a public restroom, by the "logic" of the USSC's left wing, acts of sodomy committed there would necessarily be protected.

Supreme Court Turns Public Places Into Sex Clubs

Lily-livered bureaucrats are under the impression that the Supreme Court's recent ruling on Lawrence vs. Texas means that sodomy in public places is as American as apple pie.

"A sex sting by authorities in Johnson County was all for nothing because of a U.S. Supreme Court decision," reported KCTV in Kansas City.

After citizens complained, several men were arrested for soliciting sex in the bathrooms in county parks.

"Charges were dropped on every one of them because of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision invalidating Kansas's anti-sodomy laws," KCTV said Thursday.

Johnson County D.A. Paul Morrison quivered, "What we plan to do is approach the legislature this next session about amending the lewd and lascivious, indecent exposure statute to include banning sex in public restrooms, whether that be heterosexual or homosexual sex."

Exhibitionists 'Jeopardized'

In highfalutin East Hampton, N.Y., sex on the beach is more than just a cocktail. There's outrage over public sodomy ... but it's being directed against the residents who dared to object to the sight of men having sex and urinating in public.

In an article headlined "Anti-Gay Concerns Addressed," Newsday reported that village officials and homosexual leaders vowed "to meet regularly and address fears that homophobia is jeopardizing a local beach."

East End Gay Organization complained of "intimidation" and "harassment" after five men were arrested for violating laws against public sex and public urination.

"I have a deepening concern that a lot more is going on, not from the police department, but, quite frankly, from homophobic members of the community," fretted Tom Kirdahy, co-chairman of East End Gay Organization.

Police Chief Gerard Larsen emphasized that no one was targeted because of sexual orientation.

Mayor Paul Rickenbach said he invited the only publicly identified member of the homeowners association who objected to public orgies, but the man refused to attend the meeting because, Newsday reported, "he thought he would be laughed at."

SHAWNEE, Kan. -- A sex sting by authorities in Johnson County was all for nothing because of a U.S. Supreme Court decision.

Several men were arrested for soliciting sex in the bathrooms in county parks.

Charges were dropped on every one of them because of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision invalidating Kansas's anti-sodomy laws.

"What we plan to do is approach the legislature this next session about amending the lewd and lascivious, indecent exposure statute to include banning sex in public rest rooms, whether that be heterosexual or homosexual sex," said Paul Morrison, Johnson County district attorney.

The stings were conducted after several public complaints.

I read about the North Hampton situation on a link elsewhere - this is exactly what the libertarians said would not happen. Of course, the "out" liberals admittedly favor public sex. But I read at least 50 posts here in FR saying that the SCOTUS ruling means that cops can't beat down doors catching homosexuals in the act in the privacy of their own houses.
This shows those statements to be the lies I knew them to be. Whether the situations in above articles are legally supported or not (espeically the sex on the beach one - and public sex is one of the 'homosexual community's" traditions), the homosexuals and their supporters and assistants now believe the entire United States to be their personal sodomy whorehouse.
Sodomy - the new holy sacrament.

Yep. I am a retired Army officer (artillery, MI, and chaplain). I have the privilege of teaching several classes in Colorado Springs to high school, college, and adults on comparative worldviews (biblical vs secular). As I read the various threads, some impress me as good for illustrating different worldviews. So, using some Army terminology, I mark "incidents" as "SPOTREPS" (spot report) and "descriptions of the current world scene" as "SITREPs" (situation reports). INTREP (Intelliegence Report) provides information of an event involving those of the "opposition;" INTSUM (Intelligence Summary) provides more general information. When I get home, I download these SPOTREPs and SITREPs to a database for future use.

Does that help?
