how disarmament is seen relating to health and development "and not just as an isolated area of policy." Gun grabbers view gun grabbing as a public health issue. These FASCISTS in the Public Health lobbies are the biggest threat to freedom in this country, moreso than Iraq, Iran, The Taliban, and Islamic Jihadists combined. They are a threat to our freedom. They are the same people that want to sue tobacco companies, gun manufacturers, and now food. These people are all funded by the SAME foundations. They are often your envirowackos as well. The Tides Foundation. The Joyce Foundation. Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Ford Foundation. George Soros(who Peters works for).

The UN: the world's largest NGO. If they have sovereignty anywhere, it's in the undeveloped noosphere.

What the UN doesnt understand is that there is no higher power than God. Our Founding Fathers were Christians. God fearing men who believed that the people have the God-given RIGHT to keep and bear arms. I believe this as well.
No man can take this God-given right away. As well, no man will take away my arms while Im still alive.
I was talking with a good friend about the grabbers just the other day. He believes that an outright ban and confiscation would lead to civil war. Further, the local police would not enforce such a law because that means they would have to go to war against the own neighbors. Discussion?

Sadly, I don't think your friend is correct. We have raised a couple of generations of well-meaning Americans who have bought a load of PC crap. Many are in law enforcement and the military. The gun grab has been gradual in policy and rapid in the minds of numbskulls. How many don't believe the 2nd Amendment says what it says in black and white? How many are appalled that otherwise good people have "evil" guns in their homes?
What the gun grabbers haven't been able to do with legislation, they have done to a great extent with public opinion. It isn't as far as you think to the "next step" and many in authority will go along willingly.

Sweet dreams, gun-grabbers. My suggestion would be to go back to sleep and don't get out of bed and try to act on this folly lest your dreams become the mother of all nightmares.

While I agree with your assessment of 'well-meaning Americans', I know quite a few folks who will not roll over. Maybe it's just talk. One never knows what they'll do in a situation until in that situation.
The federals have already proven they have no qualms with shooting civilians, armed or unarmed. I'm hoping the local law enforcement folks do.
If a ban were to come to pass, who do you think would end up doing the collection?

About a month ago, the military command in Iraq ordered all Iraqis to turn in their weapons. What did they get? A couple of broken AKs, a slingshot and a BB gun?
The US quietly dropped the idea of weapons confiscation. If the US military doesn't want to take on 12 million armed Iraqis, what makes the UN think it has even a ghost of a chance to confiscate weapons here in the US?
To: sergeantdave
So they quitely dropped it eh. References please!

Ain't your paid researcher. Try UPI, AP, Reuters, BBC, Al-Jazera, NYT, Washington Times, Pravda, Communist Workers Daily, Le Monde, or FOX. Or go to Google News and look it up yourself.
