Welllllll. They just had to toss that little slam in there, didn't they? That information is "so important" they just had to put that in there. My guess is they "don't like" their own poll results.

Good observation.

I live in Virginia, but I'm interested, because I see national implications here, all good for our side.

For one thing this is the first time to my knowledge, that the mainstream media has been ignored by the people. This can only mean that the leftist media's credibility has finally been destroyed, and this bodes wll for our future.

I am assuming the California media did indeed try to prop him up, those of you who live there may know better.

The title columns in my post (above) should be shifted to the left. (HTML snafu.)

The Democrats take one look at these numbers and they're kicking themselves for not letting Garamendi and the rest of the heavyweights on the ballot. Oh well its their preternatural arrogance that gets the better of them every time.

Jesus, Arnold and Riordan are at 75%! This is a Gallup survey, too. I'm wondering what the sampling and poll census read out.

Folks, it is long past time for Bush to call Simon, McClintock, and Ueberroth to tell them to bail. Bush needs to find a way for Arnold to take care of some of McClintock's issues, especially.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Re#27 Garamendi wouldn't do it. Feinstein, maybe. In any event, these numbers are surreal. With 57 days to go, the left will not be able to rehabilitate Davis and drive Arnie's negatives. What a ride this will be...

Gary Coleman...dead last.

I think he would have my vote.

Great minds think alike.

From yesterday's Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread 10 Aug 2003:

To: MEG33

Bill Kristol is predicting that if Arnold starts regularly polling in the 35% range, that the President will go out to CA and strong-arm McClintock and Simon and get them to bow out of the race. Hmmm.

In polling, registered voters are the only voters that matter. Why pollsters continue to pay attention to anybody else is beyond me. If you aren't registered to vote, your opinion means squat.

"Bush needs to find a way for Arnold to take care of some of McClintock's issues, especially."

Methinks Arnold will be doing the same on his own. He is in this one to win and methinks we will be seeing a very well run campaign. Too much fun...

BTW, another benefit for the GOP if and when Arnold wins this thing--main attraction at GOP fundraisers. Think about his draw in Senate races and otherwise. In any event, these numbers truly are amazing at this juncture. Hehehehe.....

Can the Rats go out and register a bunch of new voters (read Hispanics, legal and illegal) to support Bustamante in the 58 days remaining? What is cutoff date for voter registration in a special election?

Registered voters are better than qualified voters, but the probable voters column is the most meaningful number. It's all about turnout. If registered voters are split on a candidate or issue, but only one side comes to the polls, the split doesn't matter. That's why you see pollsters trying to sort out who the probable voters are.

Yet another from outside California waving his arms for attention.

Do us Californians a favor, stay in Georgia, and let *us* proceed with this historic recall.

You just sit back and watch us destroy one of the most powerful, leftist socialist governor in America.

We are making political history here, while people like you in Georgia sit on the side lines, jumping up and down, waving your arms for attention......

Please go to the corner of the room, by the chalkboard, and write one hundred times "Davis resigning does not stop the recall election!". If any other Freepers post the same "what if Davis resigns" scenario, at this late date and after ALL the posts clarifying that point, they must join you with chalk in hand. If anyone reads this post and STILL writes about Davis resigning to cancel the election they will have to do so while wearing a dunce cap with Algore's picture on it!
