I'd say that Gray Davis can be found to have cannibalized young children between now and election day and he'll still get that 35% of the hard core yellow dog rat vote. Not when the layoff notices are going out to state employees who have been denied their promised pay raise this year and have to pay $700 registration for that new SUV they bought last Xmas .....

LOL it's so easy to rile up Californians.
They are so sensitive about their wackjob state, where the Illegal Immigrants, Homofascists and Communists run the entire show.

Teacher, Teacher! (raising my hand, waving wildly in FReeper class)
I have a "what if"...
What if it's Oct. 7 and all the polls still show a clear lead for Schwarzenegger, and (assuming the other candidates haven't bowed out) the Simon/McClintock voters are majorly p****d off and stay home, how will that affect the actual recall votes?

Another question...what are the requirements to register to vote in Cal?..Do they have same-day registration...no verification...remember what happened with Jess Ventura in Minn..something like 15% of the total vote registered in the last few days.....

Last year, CA had a voter referendum on election day voter registration. Despite months of cheerleading from the liberal media, the voters rejected it, 59-41.

You forgot one. :o)No RonDog, I certainly did not forget one, thank you very much.
I know that even if McClintock does not win this campaign, his issue oriented detailing of how he would handle my state's finanical disaster is the only thing that will keep your liberal Republican buddie Arnuld "Don't Caw me Mayor Bloomberg" acknowledging that this is a Right in state of California that he must respect.

>>>what are the reqirements to register to vote in Cal<<<
Just tried to call the Registrar of Voters ... line is busy.
I know the deadline is Sep 20something so no way
to pull a same day thing.
But voter fraud is a HUGE concern.
We MUST vote, no matter what (at least for all the out of state FReeper friends who can't!)

"Please go to the corner of the room, by the chalkboard, and write one hundred times "Davis resigning does not stop the recall election!". Trouble is, many in the MEDIA haven't gotten the memo on this, either. Our local paper today carried a column by DeWayne Wickam urging Davis to end the matter by resigning, citing the state constitution's succession clause - BUT LEAVING OUT the state law on recall. This same column doubtless appeared in many other papers as well.
The other side simply doesn't WANT to "get the memo.

Please go to the corner of the room, by the chalkboard, and write one hundred times "Davis resigning does not stop the recall election!". Amen! Can we get that posted to one of the sidebars in really big type? I think I've seen it asked at least daily for the last three weeks!

LOL it's so easy to rile up Californians. They are so sensitive about their wackjob state, where the Illegal Immigrants DOH!
As this wackjob state has the attention of the entire country, as we are about to politically murder the biggest leftist governor in the nation, as people like you, stand in Georgia on the sidelines, waving your arms, wishing you were part of this historical recall. Its glaring.
For several years we were stuck with an extreme leftist governor, and now that the people of California have come together in a historic push to remove him from office.
Yet those like you, that are extremely jealous of California, and are green with envy that California is about to turn around, in a big way, as we make history again. Many like you said it would never happen. You were wrong.
We could have thrown Davis out and elected General Schwarzcopf, and out-of-state jealous, resentful types like you would still insist and carry on like we are all wackos here. LOL!
Even if we were the 5th largest economic powerhouse on earth, (oh wait, a minute, we are) it dont matter, were California, the crown jewel of the United States, that alone is going to bring out the California haters, and those that could only wish they were here.
Weve been told for years by people like you that we are all wackos, were going to fall into the ocean, that state is collapsing, everyone is fleeing, (lol, been hearing that one for 40 years) the fruits and nuts thing, etc. Hehehe, as many attempt to beg Californians to flee to their state. I always get a kick out of this one.
We have our problems like everyone else, however what brings out people like you, is pure resentment of all the things that make California great. No need to deny it, as many of us here have known this for many years. Its no secret. We've always been resented. LOL!
And as we are about to turn around politically, many that said it would never happen, just can't stand it.
Quit crying, and just watch us make history, again. Removing this extreme leftist from office is a great thing, don't let your jealousy blind you. It makes you look a fool.

California voters seem poised to dump their current governor more than three years before his term expires and replace him with a popular Hollywood actor with virtually no political experience. People always harp on this. Davis is a career politician (as was Clinton). Look at what Davis did for California.
Ahhhnold can't do any worse.

Flynt and Coleman get 8% among registered voters? How can this poll be taken seriously?

Welllllll. They just had to toss that little slam in there, didn't they? Didn't seem to bother Big Media when the Hollywood loony left was protesting the war.

Rush just had a great point...
He said all the attention about who's ahead in the polls (Arnold) is making us get ahead of ourselves...
The most important thing is the first part of the ballot -
the RECALL.
Does anyone else have a sick feeling about the recall not passing? I can't shake it, in spite of the polls.
