All we can do is vote for it. I am very confident.

Motor-Voter will come into play big time, if Gray signs the bill authorizing illegal aliens the right to obtain CA driver's licenses!
I shudder to think of how many of the "grateful unto Gray" might actually vote!
Cut-off date for registration in this recall election is September 22. Gray has plenty of time to "buy votes."

From CA Constitution:
ARTICLE 5 EXECUTIVE SEC. 10. The Lieutenant Governor shall become Governor when a vacancy occurs in the office of Governor.
1) Davis resigns. 2) The office of governor is vacant. 3) Lt. Governor becomes governor.
Please be so kind as to refer me to the section of the constitution which states that a governor who has resigned can subsequently be recalled and replaced by a newly elected govenor. I have not seen such a citation based on source material, but I am not saying one does not exist.
And your unhelpful, sophomoric reply is unfortunate. If I have not had time to read "all the posts" exposing my ignorance, the principled thing for you to do would be to take the time to explain instead of insult. Shame on you.
And I do want to see how the citation above is superseded by another article in the constitution, "pubbie". Primary sources only.

This is from the LIBERAL Gallup poll!
Yeah, which makes me wonder if the numbers weren't "juiced" up a bit to help convince ol' Gray that he should get out now and endorse Cruz Busta-move.

LOL it's so easy to rile up Californians. Please, don't tap on the glass.

Would you be so kind as to point me in a specific direction? There are a gazillion threads on this--I just want to see the relevant law without reinventing the wheel or being subject to condescension. Thanks.

Am trying to restrain myself from having an 'orgasmic fantasy' here . . .
but . . .
COULD IT POSSIBLY BE
THAT
BILLDO and her unroyal lowness, her hideous heinous--Bwitch Shrillery Antoinette de Fosterizer de Marx de Kevorkian de Sade
and their advice to Gray Sewerwater Davis
could be seen to have helped crash the democrucds in Californicate down around their ankle tatoos and ankle bondage chains????
COULD IT POSSIBLY BE???
COULD IT POSSIBLY FURTHER BE that THEN the evil undynamic duo would be listened to FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR less?
DEAR LORD, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, MAKE IT SO!

Excellent. The outsiders want to slam our state and they also want to dictate who our next governor will be.

we're tired of answering the same question over and over. election goes on even if Davis resigns. End of story. Read here:
http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/insider/ This explains what happens. Our Sec of State has already ruled that the election goes forward if Gray resigns.

The fix is definately in. Bush knows that having Arnold as Governor will greatly help his chances in taking CA in 2004.

"I'd say that Gray Davis can be found to have cannibalized young children between now and election day and he'll still get that 35% of the hard core yellow dog rat vote." Agreed; however, much of the dumbocrap base is dis-spirited and may not fall into the "likely voter" category.

What's clear is that there are several significant ambiguities in the code subject to different interpretations. I don't doubt for a minute that the resignation strategy is under consideration, with CA dems figuring that a nasty court fight might go their way. Let's hope Davis's approval rating doesn't fall into single digits, and he remains too proud to quit in favor of another dem possibly taking over permanently. In any event, Bustamente is on the recall ballot so they would get two bites at the apple.
