The Hillary "Lying History" book signing tour came to town today, and we did our best to make her feel unwelcome and to get the word out that there's a lot of history Hillary would just as soon people not know.
After coming to a late realization that this event was happening, we quickly pulled together a good group of FReepsers for a the Monday 11-1:30 event (a tough time for the working class like us).
Thanks to a media fax blast by Doctor Raoul, I got a 5:30AM call on my cell phone from WSB 750AM, a 50,000W talk radio station in Atlanta, which is also Neal Boortz's home station. Fortunately, the phone was *not* bedside, so I returned the call at a slightly more civilized hour and arranged to be interviewed at 7:50AM this morning. I thought the interview went well; as soon as it was over, my phone was ringing. A client called: "I just heard you on the radio! That was great!" Businesspeople "get" our message.
We started arriving on-site for the FReep at 10AM; I was first. The history of these event is that there has been a "devil" following Hillary to several of these events. The esteemed Doctor Raoul and Ron Dog have led the charge in this department. I humbly followed in their footsteps, and thus we have this:
Yes, that is yours truly under there.
Old Corps
Old Corps' son & daughter
Apple Pan Dowdy
BloomNTn
Help me out here - I didn't get a FReeper username for our "ghost writer".
Finally, Only1choice____Freedom came by on his lunch hour and took a bunch of pictures. I'll link them in later.
We were set up on the sidewalk in front of the Barnes and Noble, about 60-70' from the line. I checked in with the local APD, who thanked me for letting them know we were there, and said he was "with us". Another cop who came over to talk with us later said the same.
We had a number of interesting "interactions" with some of the liberals, the worst of which we responded to with the "Mean spirited! Arrogant! Condescending! Liberal!" chant. I'll let some of the others provide details here.
Media folks who interviewed us on-site included:
WSB TV ABC 2
Fox TV 5
CBS TV 46
WSB Radio 750 AM
WGST Radio 640 AM
96 Rock 96.1 FM
Z93 92.9 FM
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Northside Neighbor Newspapers
I'm recording the local news on 2 and 5 right now on the TiVo, we'll see if we get anything. There's been a big car crash on I-285, there's a lot of coverage of that.
We had a great location on Peachtree Street, a major 6-lane artery near a business district. I'd say our ratio of "thumbs up" to "thumbs down" (or worse) was 8:1 or 10:1. Several folks walking by stopped to thank us for being there. We got especially big waves and honks from some woodland camo-clad soldiers who drove by, and they got big waves and thanks back from us.
That's it for now, will add more later.

This is the Atlanta "Ghost Writer", I've jumped from lurker to Freeper ranks. This was also my first freep. Though I expected the pro-HRC crowd to be opposed to anyone trying to tell the truth about the "pants suit queen", the level of their hatred and bitterness shocked me. What about all this "tolerance" they profess to have? I did hear a lot of honking and thumbs up from passing cars. I enjoyed meeting the local freepers. BTW the sign I held said that HRC paid her ghost writer "peanuts," but "dog poop" would have been closer to the truth.

"...... these protests seemed to be bothering her because she labeled them the VRWC on the tonight show." The Back of my sign (the one about the missing chapter on who stole the whitehouse silver) said "proud member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy". Since the sign mostly faced the street traffic, the back faced the sheeple standing in line. I do hope it made some blood boil in a few of them. They were already hot and irritated, having to stand in line in the hot sun, most of them not able to get their books signed due to Hitlery being late and only staying less than 2 hours. Truely there was not a smile on the face of a single one of them as they left the bookstore. Don't liberals know how to smile?

Having one of those "Senior moments" as I ran out the door yesterday morning, I grabbed my camera instead of the digital camera. I did take a bunch of photos and will try to get them developed today and post. There was one I took of a young lady leaving the signing, toting her book. Since she was one of the only ones actually smiling, I sort of figured she could not have been a "true liberal"... she looked too happy. When we asked if she got her book signed she said no, then went on to say she really didn't like Hillary. We all talked to her and within a few minutes she was writing down "freerepublic.com" so she could visit the forum when she got home. I would not be surprised if we see her become one of us soon!

From looking at the photo, I thought it WAS dog poop drawn there! LOL I looked back when your wife(think it was your wife, right?) said it was peanuts and was like "oooh that makes sense too!" but I liked it thinking it was dog crap as well. :)

Hello to you and yours. Looks like you had a great freep! Think we should make up little flag pins with "member of VRWC" under it?

I'd like to see what would happen if Her Evil came to Milwaukee... I doubt i'd be able to go, I'm 15, can';t drive, but, i'd be there in spirit....:)
To: DTwistedSisterS
Forgive me in advance, I went to Hitlery's site (near torture, ALL HER PICTURES! ga!) and clicked on her most liberal supporters messages...
This one I found most sad:
Heard about the site on local radio in Wilmington. I guess they were mis-informed. I thought there was information here about the possibilities of Hillary running for the presidency in 2004. If this becomes the case, I would LOVE to be involved. My daughter is 14 and will be voting in the 2008 election. I believe having Hillary as a candidate then also would be an honor for the young voters. Recently in a school survey she had to put the couple in history she most admired and she put Bill and Hillary Clinton. I guess to be a 14 year old everything but today is history! -Sharon
Most sad to see that liberlaism is affecting my peers... (On a happy note, i've been here since Dec. 1 '01, and been a faithful Republican since the start of the 2000 campaign :) )

"She took umbrage with my sons sign what said America cannot trust another Clinton. She started ranting and raving at us. Out of the blue she said, Ill bet youre for killing abortion doctors. Ok, so where did this come from? So my son replied,
and I guess you are for killing babies? This woman clearly had some, ahem, issues, and screeched, dont even talk to me if you dont have a uterus!
I have noticed that idiots will often start by picking on kids. When we go to a family dinner, the lone liberal there would never discuss politics with me, he would always try to get my kids in the corner and argue with them. But your son had a great answer.
By the way, feminazis seem to think a uterus and vagina are a badge of honor. They have so conveniently forgotten that all they are, are nature's gift for making babies.

OK, I finally got some uninterrupted time, and have managed to upload and link-in all of the pics that BloomNTn sent me. Here you go:
Whatevergurl and OldCorps; son's sign rocked.
Yours truly and a cameraman. Apple Pan Dowdy looks on. Old Corps' son waves to the camera.
Yardman (no longer a lurker) and Old Corp in background
Yardman
Old Corps' son
Whatevergurl
Father & Daughter; Son behind the "Got Bill?" sign.
The family that FReeps together, stays together ;-)
My standard pose
Apple Pan Dowdy attempts liberal conversion. Red station wagon was owned by the militant abortion lover discussed in Old Corps' report, and several follow ups. Avoid anyone driving a vehicle of this sort, in the Atlanta area, until you have determined it isn't the same witch.
Group shot from across Peachtree. I think I'm being interviewed by a radio guy with one of those cool digital voice recorders.
Yardman slakes his thirst. It was hot out there for we costumed types!
I've got higher-res versions of all these; if any of you wants them, let me know, and I'll get them to you.
A funny anecdote that ties in with the "Who's watching Bill?" sign. My wife was talking about all this with one of her partners, who had seen the AJC article. His wife is out is Aspen (?-somewhere in CO anyway) for a conference, and apparently Bill is out there. She says that the word in the gossip columns out there is that Bill has been seen in the company of some babe. As if that surprises anyone, but still funny.
