[history]
A woman who said she refused to pay federal income taxes because the IRS didn't respond to her inquiries about tax law has been acquitted of tax evasion.
Vernice Kuglin, a 58-year-old FedEx pilot, had been charged with six counts of tax evasion. Had she been convicted by the federal court jury, she would have faced up to 30 years in prison and $1.5 million in fines.

The letter points out that "federal courts have consistently ruled against the arguments you have made. Therefore, we will not respond to future correspondence concerning these issues." Let's do the math. 280,000,000 people. 800-odd active federal judges. Maybe 20 to 50 active federal judges "ruled against the arguments you have made", on the generous side.
These federal judges were paid with money generated from the tax code they were ruling on.
So, 30-40 people, whose paychecks depend directly on their "opinion", disagree with most of the other 280 million people who are citizens of the United States.
Nothing to see here. Move along. No courts of vice-admiralty here. ;-)

Just caught Hannity & Colmes with Kuglin & Becraft.
Predictably, Colmes (Rabid "grow government at any cost" leftist) went after her, and just as predicably so did Hannity (the rabid "grow government at any cost as long as our guy is in, but give lip service to freedom & shrinking government" conservative).
Of the 2 Hannity spewed more venom. I've seen this guy treat sacks of dung like James carville with more respect.
on the whole, disgusting, but then (and this is hindsight), they wouldn't have even aired it if it wasnt gonna be a hatchet job from the start.
