This program ran last night on the History Channel, right after a history of the KKK.

It was quite good, and led the viewer through the initial efforts of the Bund (pretty much a full time pro Axis subversive organization) to insinuate itself into the American polity until it blew up over upper echelon financial impropriety and the start of actual conflict. It then went to the reprehensible speeches and actions of George Lincoln Rockwell, as he manipulated societal openness to his advantage, talked about the attempts at a Skokie march organized by a since convicted child molestor and embezzler, dealt at length with the virulent racist Pierce, went into detail on the criminal activities of The Order, and really roasted "Pastor" Richard Butler.

Interestingly, the ties of Randy and Vicki Weaver to white supremacist organizations was addressed, something I did not know.

All in all, it was a very illuminating program.

Interestingly, the ties of Randy and Vicki Weaver to white supremacist organizations was addressed, something I did not know.

While it certainly does not excuse what happened at Ruby Ridge, Mr. Weaver's political proclivities certainly help to explain how the situation presented itself in the first place.

I thought it was a good program too. Glad I saw it. However, I do not trust Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center and wish he had not been on the program.

One question: how can anyone still believe Timothy McVeigh was the mastermind of the Oklahoma City bombing?

I find it interesting that the History Channel focuses on the activities of a group that since the end of WWII has consisted mainly of maybe a thousand losers, excons and lunatics.

They should do a little more work on the far more numerous, better-connected and more successful American Marxists.

The brazeness of those Klan members, or what they call themselves today, to parade in open in Dobson,NC, was also very eye opening in the other programme on the KKK.I wonder how many of them have ever met a jew in their lifetimes to have such a vitriolic hatred of them.

I thought the program was well-presented, if dated and somewhat superficial, at least with the modern-day info (but that's another show). For example, William Pierce is no longer with us, croaking in the past year (I can't remember the date, but it was recent); Butler lost his land in a lawsuit he lost & the Aryan Nations got into a squabble about who's the new leader, leading to an Ayran Nations East and Aryan Nations West situation; Buford Furrow, the LA shooter, was married to Debbie Mathews--and he was not only an Aryan Nations member, but one of their guards. No mention of Matt Hale (although they did mention Benjamin Smith's shooting spree) and Hale's arrest for conspiring to have the judge in his copyright case murdered.

But then I'm picky.

I happen to agree with you. Perhaps the Nazis were once a threat, but the major damage done to our country has been from the left, not the right. The Leftists are enshrined with cushy professorial jobs and news jobs while the right is demonized. The right has their lunatics from the Aryan Nations but they don't get published. The left lunatics are taken seriously and their programs are enacted into law.

I liked the picture of her smiling face next to some toothless loser with a black t-shirt that said "ZOG" in prominent letters. It was a social event.

Nobody I've ever known who was worth a damn ever talked about ZOG.

I watched most of it, and then caught a little on the replay at 11 or was it midnight?, no it was 11 pm, I laid down in bed before midnight and didn't turn on that tv because the Mr. was already asleep... sorry for rambling.

I found it very interesting.

I never knew what "The Turner Diaries" were. I may have to look at them. Online of course, I would hate to have my name turned in by a librarian for my choice of books.

"Pastor" Richard Butler said he in no way condoned violence, and none of his written work called for it, but from what I heard, it, um, may (hello?).

The hate some of them were spewing was rather shocking to me.

I would like to know what you've read, and by whom it was written. A lot of folks who love to talk about "jackbooted thugs" have put out a lot of "poor Randy" apologetics that make him out to be a saintly creature.

And indeed, I think we agree that what happened at Ruby Ridge was murder, and completely wrong.

But we should not sugar-coat Mr. Weaver's own approach to life, which would lead to certain suspicions regarding his response to any government agents who might come to call.

The imortant thing is that Randy Weaver's daughter is very very cute.

I suspect Randy Weaver was sympathetic to the white racists but he really had very little to do with them.

I think he attended a meeting once and also had a belt buckle which was from one of those organizations. All of which is perfectly withing his rights to do.

The whole Weaver case was one of those in power using their positions to murder those who they did not like.
