Aha, just what we expected...... Eisner's a jerk. I guess the only fun Mikey has is putting on his Goofy suit and palling around with Bruce and the boys during Gay days at Disney.

Mikey's never even acknowledged Disney is being boycotted. Only recently he conceded Disney lost mucho bucks starting about 1998 (near the time the boycott started).

Actually Liz, Disney "lost" money for a number of different reasons.

During the 1997-2000 time period, a MASS amount of cash was being outlayed for things like:

Tokyo Disney Seas (A Spectacular addition/2nd Gate to Tokyo Disneyland. Thankfully the Accountants/MBAs/Lawyers/ and other worthless Business Types were kept at bay on that one because it was the Japanese Company that oversees all Disney Operations in Japan insisted on a level of excellence that is impossible when "suits" get involved in anything)

Disney Quest (An LBE/Location Based Entertainment. Essentially, this was Disney's answer to Gameworks. It failed MISERABLY. Not because of the boycott, but because it was a really LAME concept. Out of the 12 they planned to build, only 2 opened.

DCA/Disney's California Adventure (This, as expected, lost money during it's first year of operation. Most Theme Parks, Disneyland included, almost always lose money for 1-3 years after opening.

Go.com (Bad Move, Stupid Idea, Never should have been done.)

The ABC Purchase (Need I say more?)

The Fox Family Purchase (Again, Need I say more?)

So, as I said Liz, Disney lost money for a number of reasons. As for the boycott having a huge impact, let me just say this, during the time period BEFORE 9/11, Park attendence was actually up from years passed. Video Sales, and Product purchases were stable, and ad revenue from the various TV outlets was pretty much as forecast.

hehehehe As for Mikey in a Goofy suit, YIKES...
