I didn't see this posted anywhere...thought I would. May I also refer you to http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/971896/posts for some interesting discussion and, I believe, brand new insights - especially in some of the later posts.

Judge Greer denied the motion Tuesday, stating such a determination would require a hearing, but endorsed Schiavo's request to return her to the hospice.

THAT IS COMPLETE AND UTTER BS .. This Judge needs to be brought up on ethic charges IMO!!

In an emergency motion faxed Monday afternoon to Greer, Felos argued that since the courts of Florida had approved the removal of her feeding tube, death by starvation was a foregone conclusion and there was no need to intervene.

Live well, Felos, lest ye rely on the ill-informed for your right to recover at some future date.

Felos filed papers asking the court to order all treatment for Terri stopped "other than comfort care" for her infection

Curious.

I didn't know that a "vegetable" could experience discomfort.

Methinks the ghoul has tripped himself in his own words. By acknowledging the need for "comfort care", he has acknowledged the fact that she is capable of suffering.

In other words, he has admitted that she is not in a "persistent vegetative" condition.

"suffered massive brain damage when she collapsed at their home 13 years ago under unexplained circumstances at the age of 26."

Maybe he was trying to get rid of her 13 years ago?

who suffered massive brain damage when she collapsed at their home 13 years ago under unexplained circumstances at the age of 26.

26 year olds just don't collapse --- I'll bet the husband wanted her dead from the start. If she's lived 13 years in this condition, she has a strong will to live. You can't keep someone alive once they lose that --- I bet he's afraid she could wake up and tell what happened to her. Never trust your life with an adulterous spouse.

Reminds me of a term Planned Parenthood used to use, Product of Conception

Looks like the jerk will do whatever it takes to get her to die. It is nice to see that Jeb Bush has gotten into it though. Maybe he can help somehow.

Hey Kimmie, ping me if you see any new info on Terri.

This case isn't just about a woman who is going to be murdered. If Michael Schiavo and Judge Greer succeed, then we all will be touched by the consequences in one way or another.

It would be great if Florida FReepers could get together and hold a rally.

Florida Bishops Reject 'Euthanasia' in Terri Schiavo Case

Below are portions of the article written for CNSNews.com by their Congressional Bureau Chief, Jeff Johnson, 29 August 2003

The bishops of the conference had been criticized for their initial lack of comment on the matter, which they left to Terri's local bishop, Robert N. Lynch. In an October 15, 2002, statement, Lynch had said that the church would "refrain from passing judgment on the actions of anyone in this tragic moment." But in an August 12, 2003, statement, Lynch reversed course.

"I strongly recommend that...Terri's family be allowed to attempt a medical protocol which they feel would improve her condition," Lynch wrote in a two-and-a-half-page .

The outcry against the remainder of Lynch's colleagues intensified August 25, when they issued a clemency request to Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on behalf of Paul Hill, who has been sentenced to die Sept. 3 for the shotgun murders of an abortionist and his driver.

[Comment: Compare the weak and evasive comments given thus far about Terri's fight for life, with their vigorous demand that Governor Bush act to spare a convicted killer Paul Hill].

Pamela Hennessy, volunteer media coordinator for Terri's family, wrote to the executive director of the conference as soon as she learned of the bishops' public stand on Hill's scheduled execution.

"I respectfully request that you convey to the Florida bishops that, if all life is truly sacred, their defense of a convicted killer coupled with their disinterest in the life of a disabled and innocent woman is beyond offensive," Hennessy wrote. "I know that Floridians of all denominations would readily agree with me."

Although they do not acknowledge Hennessy's letter or the ensuing media coverage and public outcry [spelled : FreeRepublic.com], the bishops issued their statement just two days later.

Isn't her husband remarried? If so, why does he still have guardianship over this woman?

Sounds like her husband is getting impatient to have her dead.
