President George W. Bush shared a light moment with (L-R) Executive Director of the NFL Players Association Gene Upshaw, NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and former Redskins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen in the Oval Office of the White House today. He was presented with the official NFL ball prior to the first game of the season between the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets to be played in the capital on September 4.

It's back to being lonelier here as mom went home tonight. (We ground wheat berries into flour today and made some awesome honey-whole wheat bread. Until you've had whole wheat bread made out of freshly ground flour, you haven't truly enjoyed the stuff! Made some oat bran bread, too. It sure is a lot more fun doing my food experiments with somebody else here.)

Lonelier now, but I'll have more time to keep up to date here. ;)

Do you know what Sonny Jurgenson was laughing so hard at?

BTW, I have an autographed framed picture of Sonny Jurgenson that he signed for my birthday in 1969, this was back when the Redskins helmet was maroon with an arrow and a single feather on each side. My Aunt was an officer of Rigg's National Bank in Washington, D.C. and had season passes to the Rigg's Box Office at RFK Stadium for every game, she was able to get Sonny Jurgenson to autograph a picture and she framed it for me. I treasure it :-)
