So, flame away, but this Republican is seriously considering voting for Bustamante.

You're not a Republican, so stop pretending, ok?

Engage the other half of the lobe before speaking.

Arnold with twice the vote or more of McC is the electable front-runner.

With the absentee ballots being cast, at this point the never-could-win McClintock is the California spoiler of 2003.

He is betraying California's voters by staying in and causing Militant Democrats to get elected.
He shows unsound judgment and has proved in ANY CASE, he is never fit to lead.

I think his career will go on the slide after this.
Everyone will know he gave us Bustamante.

No, Tom will be seen as the spoiler of 2003 and will be rejected by the California GOP after this.

He has showed he feels he is grander than the people.

He is unfit to lead at this point.
Once absentee ballots were out, he became the spoiler and that is his lone contributuin to this race and his buddies at the Democrat party.

Tom has just went to work for the Democrats and Republicans won't EVER forget this. He's toast.

"So, looks like about half the McClintock supporters would pretty much sit on their hands if McC pulls out of the race."

You really aren't surprised, are you?

"...then there might be a backlash against dems for a generation..."

Yeah, against a backdrop of flocks of soaring pigs, flying southward into the setting sun!

I'm surprised it's only half that will sit on their hands. Now we know who the true "RINOS" are.

Many people do not want Schwarzenegger representing conservatives, since he isn't one. Period. Your frothing-mad, insulting comments will not change this fact.

True. And that "4" isn't a percentage, but the actual number of people will sit on their hands and post at FR.

So it's better you side with electing militant radical Democrats and leave them control of the state. You are to BRILLIANT for words!

You McClintock people are in effect being supportive Democrats.

You must live to be a paradox these days.

Which means about half are Democrats in principles, but paint it over as conservatives so they feel better about themselves.

I'd prefer to focus on the positive, 61.5% of McClintock supporters in California would prefer Schwarzenegger to Bustamante.

It's not my fault that there are more liberals in the state than conservatives.

If I lived in New York City, I wouldn't have voted for the "Republican" mayor Bloomberg either.

You McClintock people are in effect being supportive Democrats.

Nope. Supporting the TRUE alternative to their radical leftist policies, rather than settling for a Democrat-lite candidate. Get it right, man!

You must live to be a paradox these days.

That's California for you. Republicans have been caving, by mimicking the Democrats, ever since Prop 187 passed, and that is why we have no major office holders. You have it backwards.

Your definition of a TRUE ALTERNATIVE = Throwing votes at a loser and causing the electable front runner to lose to Militant Democrats.

Gaining Militant Democrats in control by your hand is NOT a decent, principled TRUE ALTERNATIVE. BUNK!

I agree and did not direct that comment on those reasonable souls at all.

If this were reversed with the numbers I'd be barking for Arnold to leave.

This isn't personal, just don't want the most Radical Militant Democrat elected by what conservatives do at the booth AGAIN!

Nit-pickers! ;)

My obvious typo: "If you are working against the Democrats, by definition, and consequence, you are helping the Democrats"

From the context it's clear what I meant -- those who are working against Republicans, and decreasing the chances of a Republican to get elected, regardless of the good sounding reason, in the bottom line are helping the Democrats.

Those who voted for Ross Perot, actually voted against Bush I and FOR Clinton, and helped the Democrats.

In this CA election, those who insist on voting for Mcclintock, splitting the R vote are helping Bustamante get elected. Even if Arnold were not in the race, McClintock would lose, just as Simon lost in November.

McClintock supporters need to decide whether they are really Republicans or Democrats and support either the only viable Republican or admit to themselves that they rather vote for Bustamante, which makes then Democrats at heart.

Spin as you will, but it still doesn't change the facts that a vote for McClintock is a vote for Bustamante.

Focus on changing this fact... A vote for Arnold is a vote for Amnesty.

Do that, and show me where Arnold intends to get behind the SB60 referendum, which is the only option for keeping driver's licenses out of the hands of Illegals, and this "right wing crazy" will consider voting for him.

Gaining Militant Democrats in control by your hand is NOT a decent, principled TRUE ALTERNATIVE.

If you don't like democracy, that's fine. I prefer to vote for candidates that represent my views, not those who augment my party's label, but not its values and beliefs.

You can yell and scream all you want, but you won't change my mind.

Throwing votes at a loser and causing the electable front runner to lose to Militant Democrats.

Electable or not, I can care less. If I want a hamburger, I won't buy a hot dog and lie to myself.

Well, one had better be good looking and very wealthy before anyone is even going to look at your qualifications; and they still might not look at them.

That's a great way to elect a person.
