Bush the Younger is dangerously close to doing the same thing. He thinks that he can throw us a few bones and then slap us down with no repercussions.WHERE do you demonstrate this discontent:
a) DURING the primary process?
b) DURING the general election in the fall?

With the right packaging I would try Tom Delay.
I'd go for Tom Tancredo myself.
Not a bad choice.

I'm a conservative first and a republican second (for now).
you conservatives are small in numbers
If you think that, the republicans are in trouble.

With the right packaging I would try Tom Delay. The right packaging would revolve around issues important to the 60 percent of moderate and independent voters. Those probably don't fit into Tom's agenda. Also, unfortunately, Tom Delay's negatives may be worse than Newt's. And any realistic view of November 2004 pits GWB against Hillary or Clark. Since I don't want 8 years of either of those last 2, I'll stick with GWB.

Yes indeed. And this Gilespie guy from the RNC was spinning, although not as fast or furiously as McAwful or the Forehead do for the DNC.

GW is just another Clinton without the sex scandals. If the left had not drifted to the lunatic fringe it would be hard to tell them apart. Perhaps the Republicans will decide to run real conservative challenge during the primaries. If not I'll have to decide between voting for a third party or sitting it out.

Both if that is what it takes.

We need to phase out the mentality of changing our principles to fit the polls, and begin educating people as to why conservatism is the right philosophy with which to govern ourselves.

I wouldn't go that far. Bush, while clearly a moderate, is still basically a decent man.
Schwarzenegger, on the other hand...

It depends. Will there be a REAL conservative on the primary ticket? I doubt it.
If Bush signs or allows the AWB to be extended, there is NO WAY I will vote for him. I will stay home or vote third party.
If the country is on the tracks to hell, I'll be damned if all I do is shovel coal a little slower.

How true! Do even 10% of Americans know and believe in the Constitution?

depends. Will there be a REAL conservative on the primary ticket? There is one way - declare your run ... before I vote for you, though, I'll need to know a few of your positions on certain issues though ... next comes the fund raising and a grueling campaign cycle - are you up for it?

*all* Republicans are *not* conservativesThe use of the term RINO in the context of discussing the Senate was meant to imply that NO Republicans found there are conservative. The whole lot of of them ought to be tarred and feathered over Estrada and Socialized Medications.
A tax collector is tarred and feathered
during the (whisky) rebellion.

Both. As another poster said, I am a conservative firsrt and Republican second. I might change that to I am a Constitutionalist first, a conservative second, a libertarian third, and a Republican fourth.

Frankly I am of the opinion that Rush set Gillespie up....big time. He had his little fact sheet from Cato at the ready.
Rush mentions Reagan as many times as Kerry mentions Viet Nam.
THAT WAS THEN THIS IS NOW
Rush and Sean like to invoke Reagan's name against President Bush at every turn. How convenient of them to avoid the fact of the Tax Reform Act of 1986.....Reagan RAISED taxes 120 billion dollars on corporations.
The 1986 reform took away deductions for interest on auto loans, deductions for mortgages on second homes was gone, as well as a long list of other deductions that were eliminated.
