Finally, I was going to report that Thomas Sowell, in a column, disclosed that he was going to vote for Arnold and that Sowell's word was good enough for me. There is maybe not a person in the country whose judgment I respect more.
But then this came in a few minutes ago. Schwarzenegger was questioned about Prop 54, the Ward Connerly-spearheaded measure that would make it illegal for governmental agencies to collect racial statistics on the population, with some prudent exceptions. This is the Racial Privacy Initiative.
Schwarzenegger said, "I'm against it. It looks good on the surface, but when you study it you see its true intentions. It was a no-brainer, once I looked at all the reading and all the materials. I do a lot of work with after-school programs, a lot of these kids are minorities, and we need to know how they're doing and bring them up to the starting line. It was a no-brainer. And if the right-wing crazies have a problem with that, so be it."
I have gone back and forth on Schwarzenegger, so much that I almost have whiplash. But my new my current position on him is: To hell with him.

(It's time for Arnold to stop splitting the Republican vote and step aside for the good of the party)

And if the right-wing crazies have a problem with that, so be it." Then he doesn't have my vote. I mean, hello (R)nold supporters...he's telling me he doesn't want my vote for crying out loud!

The 'right-wing crazies' must also include the late Dr. Martin Luther King, who wanted a color-blind society. And Arnold's objection to the Proposition is based on ignorance' - he is against it because of 'education' and 'health', the very two exceptions stated for not gathering data stated directly in the bill! He needs to at least read it!

There's more red flags flying high atop this sinking candidacy than in the old Soviet Union.

GO TOM GO... Yep. Listened too! Didn't ya love it?
Hannity to Tom:
"I think you would make a great Governor.
I think Arnold would make a better Governor than Bustamante."
Classic!

>>>He needs to at least read it!
But he DID read it... he studied it... and it was a No Brainer! (sarcasm)
No Brainer Arnold... there's a headline here somewhere.

One of the exceptions to Prop 54 is schools. Arnold either didn't read it, or he didn't understand it. Maybe he did both, but figured we're too stupid to see this as a weasely way to oppose it.

John & Ken here in L.A. on KFI are calling Tom, Seabiscuit complete with neighing sound of a horse. They are demanding (at least John is) for Mc to get out of the race and let Arnold the Pro-choice, Pro-gay, Pro-Gun Control, Anti-Prop 54 ( to eliminate racial quotas) have it all to himself. That's crap. How any Conservative can vote Arnold is beyond me. Hannity is a lightweight. Is there anyone really strongly FOR Arnold or they just AGAINST Buster? If so, theirs is a vote of fear rather than hope.
Perhaps Arnold's voters are so liberal themselves that they actually believe Arnold is conservative?
I will still vote FOR Mc whether he stays in or withdraws.
Flame away all you clintonian personal vilifiers/insulters. I've become accustomed to your hissy fit responses.

That's crapGotta agree with you there. Re: Is anyone really FOR Arnold.... I may have seen one or two. But usually those quickly fall to the same 'Tom can't win' mantra.
Arnold's media blitz has made people actually believe this. I'll wait and see, but I have believed from the beginning that this blitz/mantra approach was the Schwarzenegger strategy from day one. Promotions and selling are right up his alley.... whether as a body builder, selling 'nutrition' products, etc. Quite a 'spin' job.
A good PR firm can do wonders. After spending millions in the late 80's, PR propaganda had the world believing that Michael Milken was a "genius", a "national treasure" who was "creating value" ... a victim of the prosecution who hadn't really done anything wrong.
Same thing happening here, IMO. But Arnold can't hide behind his handlers forever. Let's see if the guy has enough guts to debate McClintock.

Arnold's anti-gun position is also based on ignorance. There are no differences between so-called "assault weapons" and other rifles now deemed perfectly legal. His opinions are based on a shallow level of thinking which is characteristic of Democrats.
He will be putty in the hands of his advisors. They are the ones whose opinions would dictate the course a Schwartzenegger governorship.
