Good news! Americans are not fooled about Islam being called a "religion of peace."
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Let that number just keep on growing!

It took a poll to figure out that what they're SAYING and what they're DOING are two different things?? Sheesh.

Americans' suspicion of Islam has grown sharply over the last year and a half and fewer than half now call it a peaceful religion, a poll says. The ABC News poll found that one-third of Americans now think the religion encourages violence against non-Muslims. That is double the number of people who felt that way 20 months ago. Four months after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, 14 percent believed mainstream Islam encourages violence. That figure is now at 34 percent. This is a good start, but there are many still buying into the "Religion of Peace" BS, or asleep.

The ABC News poll found that one-third of Americans now think the religion encourages violence against non-Muslims. No doubt this poll will have the ABC (All Bullshit Channel) News bigwigs doing a 20/20 propaganda puff-piece on how Muslims feel so oppressed living in America.

People who said they were familiar with the religion had a more positive view of it. This is the statement I don't get.
How can anybody who is "familiar" with Islam take a positive view of it, especially if you are not a Muslim.
This is a murderous cult with no redeeming virtues! It seeks to convert by the sword if necessary and has no provision for individual human freedoms.

NEVER FORGET.
NEVER AGAIN.
LET'S ROLL!
"Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated."
Fellow citizens, we'll meet violence with patient justice -- assured of the rightness of our cause, and confident of the victories to come.
I will not forget this wound to our country or those who inflicted it. I will not yield; I will not rest; I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people...
President George Walker Bush
September 20, 2001
As we remember September 11, 2001, we reaffirm the vows made in the earliest hours of our grief and anger. As liberty's home and defender, America will not tire, will not falter, and will not fail in fighting for the safety and security of the American people and a world free from terrorism. We will continue to bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to them. This Patriot Day, we hold steady to this task.

I understand there was another "honor killing" in Jordan this week. Two brothers hacked their sisters to death with an axe. I guess that's their idea of a religion of "piece."

It is discouraging that so many people still do not get that Islam is a demented cult of mind-numbed robots. Islam is based on fear and intimidation. The absurdities of Islam would be funny if they were not animated by hatred and irrationality.
The message must not cease: Islam worships hatred and violence. "Allah" is an excuse for ordinary evil.
And the related message: a "moderate" Moslem is only moderate to the degree that he rejects Islam.

All I can say is that it's about damned time. Sensible immagration policies NOW! Effective and rational policing of the borders NOW!
Do not let these people overrun this county like they've done in other parts of the world. Those who refuse to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.

I think the difference is that on 911 many Americans hadn't given much thought to the "religion" of Islam. After the attacks, people started educating themselves and that has made the difference.

FEWER THAN HALF ?!
Good god the education system is worse than I thought.
Apparently a large part of the populace thinks that blowing stuff up is peace. So maybe 1/2 of the "Peace" movement wants stuff blown up they just are mixed up on the meaning of the words..........
