Re: the caffeine in Laci's system.

There were reports early on that she had had a latte, wasn't it, on the evening of Dec. 23. I seem to recall that.

To me then, it would point to her dying that night.

But I'm sure MG would like everyone (especially future jurors) to think she had the coffee several weeks later...

Thanks for including me in your ping list.

Attorneys for Scott Peterson, who is charged with murdering his wife and son, may try to use the toxicology tests to raise questions about the circumstances of the deaths, experts speculated.

Of course they will use it in the hopes of raising a question in just ONE juror's mind which has been their quest from the onset. All it takes is one juror to have doubts and the death penalty is off the table.

I heard this weekend on "the breathless Rita Show", that this new information will delay the Prelim even further. Maybe into January/Feb.

Is there a mild Lysol in soap form to use when this thing gets underway, and we have to watch the smooooooth Garagos ?

That's how I see it too. His OWN actions confirmed to me that he KNEW Laci was NEVER returning home. He approached a Realtor at the first Search Centre about selling the house without Laci's signature? Then he sells her car!! This guy had a Double Life that is unfolding and it appears it was a pretty cruddy lifestyle at that!! Poor Laci, she did NOT KNOW the man she married. I do believe that with a baby coming he began to feel trapped into a lifestyle that he didn't want to live. He was wanting to live the OTHER lifestyle more and more. Babies, wives and all that were in the way. Because he appears to be the classic Sociopath, he was able to pull off this double life because he was completely unemcumbered by any guilt!! I agree with the poster who said that if he hired "hit men" he is just as guilty as if he did it himself with his own hands.

Three forensic experts said it would be uncommon to find measurable amounts of caffeine in the body of an unborn child even if its mother consumed large quantities of it. That would suggest that the Peterson test results are meaningless

Just heard that caffiene does not pass thru the palcenta

Thanks for the ping

Do you remember, how we discussed the prosecution theory that Laci peterson was druggged by Scott before he strangled her. Do you remember that it was leaked that his computer had information on GHB. We theorized he bought coffee on the way home or made coffee for Laci on the Dec.23rd and slipped Laci, the GHB in it?

Maybe Scott bought some GHB from Carroll,Dirty and Skeeker? This just smacks of more premeditation on Scott's part to me. What's your take on this?

My take also Maggie. He's in it up to his ears!! Either way he's the initiator of this brutal killing. The pre-meditation was not hard to figure out when you consider that he was openly selling some of her jewelry, giving some away, trying to sell their house within the FIRST week, and then selling her car about a Month later. His actions go way outside the bounds of normal, in fact they barely inside abnormal, almost in a class of their own if you ask me.

Even if Geragos and group get one Juror on their side and it is a mistrial - the Prosecution will try him again, I'm sure. If he get's life without parole, I can live with that. I would like to see him get the Death Penalty, God knows he deserves it but in CA Death Penalties are rarely carried out correct?

Would that be before or after the questions about the van, someone named "Donny," a satanic cult, and the neo-nazis?

Hmmm...it seems that quitting coffee etc. is one sacrifice a pregnant woman needn't make.

Caffeine is a good remedy for pregnant women that are "irregular". This amount does not have any effect on a healthy mother/baby. Laci may have had a cup or two around the time of her disappearance.

Scott Peterson had 10K, family caught wisking him toward the Mexican border, a fake passport, and dyed hair which he said he obtained from swimming. Guy is guilty.

GHB is that drug that is undetectible much later after ingestion. People who fear they may have been date-drugged and/or raped under the influence are told to save any urine after the event because there is such a short window of testability.

I can't imagine after all these months that they would find evidence of it. However, what if he told her to just let go for once, it's Christmas Eve Eve, and enjoy a latte, and that's what he used to slip the GHB in to make it easier for either him or his hired killers?

LOL Mags, I do recall those conversations; we've been all over the map regarding what happened! But, Mags, I think the new info released today about the caffeine in her system will prove to be a red herring. The likelihood of caffeine in her system was discussed in May, IIRC. You mean it took forensics almost 4 mos. to come to this conclusion? Caffeine in her system and the absence of caffeine in Connor's will not be the decisive factor in solving the mystery of "who really killed Laci Peterson". Our attention is being diverted by the powers that be from the real question: was Scott into the meth business? If the answer is "yes", I would now have to say that there is a 50/50 chance that he didn't actually kill Laci. His drug connection surely caused her death, but it did not necessarily effect it. JMO

It really sounds like Condit is using his Dear Daughter as a comfort woman for his attorney there.

That family is weird. Remember his ex-friend / bodyguard who remembered seeing the whole family sans Mama at a dance, and Cadee and her brother would give Dad the thumbs-up sign when he danced with a young pretty thing?

Oh,yes, the "meth". The neo nazi's are major distributor's.And I have always wondered why Scott needed a storage locker and a warehouse, all those cell phones, and the real reason for the FBI's long involvement in this case.Do you remember the picture of the huge dent in the metal door of his warehouse? Wonder if it was "Skeeter", "Dirty" or one of the other low riders who took a slege hammmer to it. Perhaps,Scott was supposed to deliver some fertilizer and he stood them up?
