Are you ready for some FReeping?

Howdy everyone,

The Free Republic Fourth Quarter FReepathon is underway!!

Time to raise the funds necessary to keep Free Republic on the air for the next several months. We've had lots of excitement and heated discussion on these boards in the last months and weeks with the California Recall and special elections. Looks like Grayout Davis is going down for the count and his big tax, big spending partner is gonna be tossed out of the ring with him! This is a very strong message being sent by the voters to the big government politicians in California and nationwide: Enough is enough!

The Davis/Bustamante tag team has busted California and California is busting them! Thank you fellow California FReepers for gathering signatures, protesting, rallying and campaigning all up and down the state to help make this happen! One week from now and we usher in a new governor!!

But this was just the warm up fight. The bell sounds the main event immediately following: George W. Bush vs some yet to be named corrupt liberal Democrat for President of the United States!! Go Dubya!! Go FReepers!!

And, of course, FReepers will be campaigning all across the fruited plains and from sea to shining sea for their favorite conservatives for Congress and Senate and local and state offices. This is our opportunity to sweep out the remnants of the corrupt Clinton era Democrat officeholders and to begin replacing the liberal activist judiciary with judges that will abide by the Constitution rather than making law from the bench! Imagine that! Go Conservatives!!

Stay tuned to Free Republic! You will not want to miss any of the action this quarter or next year!!

And I'm sure you've all read that Free Republic has been slandered by the City of Fresno Human Relations Commission as being a "hate group" holding "hate rallies" and "hate picnics." Well, we are not going to allow this false and libelous accusation stand unanswered! We've filed the required paperwork notifying the City of Fresno that they are about to be sued. They have 90 days to respond or offer to resolve this issue through settlement. If not, then we file suit. We don't expect any major legal expenses for the case this quarter, but there may be some. Consequently, I'm increasing our target this quarter so that hopefully we will have some funds available to cover any expenses related to this effort as they are incurred. We have a favorable financial arrangement with our attorney, but there may be some expenses that have to be covered this quarter.

Thank you all for your continued support and may we all enjoy much success in the coming months!

God bless you all!

Regards,

Jim Robinson

I'm not lazy. It's good time management and good stewardship to answer your earlier question in this way -- by providing context rather than going back to find the post with your original question:

RE: Is that a rose bush behind you?

Yes! ;)

(I checked with mom to be sure!)

It occurs to me now that if I'd have been smart, I should have told my daughter that, while that is a picture of my grade school, junior high, and high school in the background, it was actually a Hollywood backlot-style backdrop my dad drug out each time we took pictures in the yard. Then, in the winter, when the drifts created those uphill inclines TO and FROM school, he'd have us gaze at those exterior-shot pictures so we could remember what the school we needed to reach actually looked like. It gave us a goal! Because, as one can certainly understand, a child has a short attention span! That attention span gets shorter when dealing with a 20-mile walk to school ... barefoot (we had to save our shoes to eat for lunch!) ... without a coat!!! ... Ah well, I can still influence the grandkids. ;)

"Any idea is worthless without the action (stewardship) to back it up! (I'm sooooooooooo sick of the whining, blame-casting, trying-their-durndest-to-create-scandals liberals who've never had an original PRACTICAL idea in their lives! < /vent >)"

Very well said!

Stewardship = your time, talent and treasue invested in what you believe in.

Good Stewards require no governmental grants, aid, or special interest laws.

They see a need and commit their time, talent and treasure to bringing that need to beinf a viable reality.

Insight into world affairs, brilliant wit, sharp retorts, instant information gratification are a few of the things that make FR so vital.

How would you keep on top of things without FR?

How would you know who to contact to complain about the lying politicians, Media Bias, Hollyweirds latest mouth off, sponsors of these idiots, company policies that are unfair and all the other things we need to know to counteract the liberal mindset and the evil plans of liberals?
How would you be part of a Freep?

What would you do without FR????

Freedom isn’t free.

If you enjoy the site and find it a place of like minded Americans to sound off, to get together, to fight back, to have your voice heard and make a difference, PLEASE CONTRIBUTE NOW! Jim can’t do this alone.

The liberals are sure we won’t be able to keep FR up & running. Prove them wrong. Show them we are indeed united Freepers.

Florida FR Pledges are in SECOND PLACE AGAIN! FIRST PLACE IS THE GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA. I pledged to Free Republic again because it has enriched and changed my life. Seriesly. This is hugh.

Floridians, we may not be able to overtake California in the freepathon, but please ping your Florida pals and ask them if they'd like to make a pledge.

I feel like public television. "Now back to how glass is made before the next pledge break."
